i reckon a bookie would bet you 50/1 on that statement...

i want to go on the record today of saying after all hype and spruik IAI stats wont even be 50% of fastnet stats.

stop the clock today with fastnet 610 starts for 53 stakes winners @ 600 odd starters IAI wont have even close to 25 stakeswinners

probably a thread around already, but i don't think so
anyway IAI is being touted as a "breed shaper", which is a bit rich really IMO, how many of his 100 stakeswinners, won over the acknowledge Classic Distances 1600m up? I can only think of one 1600m SW by him, which doesn't cut being a "breed shaper" a great effort getting 100 s'winners, and (some) of his sons doing ok, but really
change is simply a destination on a journey reached by taking the first step (i said that) lol

Stands for $302.500.  Probably only has four breeding seasons left in him.  Wonder what this breeding right will bring?

A career-long breeding right to leading sire I Am Invincible, as well as several quality racehorses and broodmares, will be auctioned off in tomorrow's Magic Millions Virtual Sale.

A five-time winner by legendary sire Invincible Spirit, I Am Invincible only won up to Group 3 level but finished second to Takeover Target in the 2009 G1 Goodwood Handicap.

However, it is as a stallion that I Am Invincible has cemented his legacy, winning Champion Australian Sire in 2021-22 and 2022-23, producing 14 individual G1 winners and a further 105 Stakes winners.

This includes Home Affairs and Brazen Beau (both now stallions themselves), as well as Te Akau's superstar sprinter Imperatriz, who Yulong bought for $6.6 million earlier this year.

The rare opportunity, which entitles the auction winner to one breeding right per season for the remainder of I Am Invincible's stud career, is one of two stallion offerings in the sale.

For the sake of interest & continuity, this is the first thread created on I Am Invincible back in 2010:

Its usually a bridge too far for me I can tell you. Unhappy
I saw Vinnie the other day, and if looks count for anything ( and we know they dont , always, ) he looks to be good for another 10 years at least.  Stunning and in good health, very laid back, and living the life of the King of Yarraman.

He's 20 years of age now AA so reckon potently going over the top for another 10 years might be a bit of a stretch.  Wink

Though Written Tycoon is two years older, and will still probably be covering a limited book of around 90 mares this season.  But reckon another two or three carefully managed seasons might see him out.

Yes, I realise he is 20. Smile  Snitzel is around that too,  ( and boy did he look it ), so I know its a bit far fetched to think anyone will pay that much for a share in a 20 year old. Thumbs Up  But looking at him you would never guess 20. Be interesting to see if/who/how much this share goes for.  Keep us posted please .
