Thought they might’ve put the balls in by now. Although, if you can earn $96k from a couple of Bm78s, I say go for it.

Looks like they want to space his runs, so he’s probably going to miss the Mortlake or Peninsula Cups... might have to step up to Sandown next, then Perth?

Yes Afros, it is what Matt said post race. Then either WA or B/rat Cup.

The Country Series Final is worth $500K now. Over to Perth for the Railway and KT Classic, both worth $1 Million, that's smart programming imo.

I must admit once I cool off I am not quite as animated as I was earlier.

Still not much doubt the best horse ran second.

Harbour Views When questioned rider John Allen explained that the intention was to ride the gelding in a handy position with cover and for this reason he chose not hold the leading position approaching the 1400 metres on the rail.

John Allen (Harbour Views) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR131(a). The careless riding being that near the 300 metres he attempted a run where there was insufficient room to the outside of Polanco resulting in Starspangled Rodeo being taken out off its course tightening the running of No Money No Honey and The Great Artiste resulting in both horses being hampered. J Allen had his licence to ride in races suspended for a total of thirteen meetings to commence midnight 9 November, 2019 and to expire midnight 19 November, 2019. (2 metro, 11 provincial). In assessing penalty the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the mid-range category of carelessness and took into account his record.

Scratched from the Ballarat Cup & going to the paddock for 6 weeks.

They’ve been very conservative in placement during the spring, working through the grades. Time to take the wraps off & unleash him the autumn.

Carlyon Cup 1600m @ Caulfield
St George Stks 1800m @ Caulfield
Aust Cup 2000m @ Flemington

Thoughts?

Aims appear fine LH. Star

Though have heard a 30 day spell at most is planned to enable both a sufficient freshen plus retention of a required level of fitness to ensure he's up for his first Autumn assignment.

Either way he's certainly a really exciting prospect come his next campaign.

Well they have a plan "b" now if he's developing a joint although it could be just a " lame "excuse , I didn't think his win at Geelong was all that impressive, could be more than likely I have read this horse wrong.

Sounds like a very conservative program in store.

Plans to resume in an 1400m open Hcp at the Warrnambool carnival, followed by the RA Lee Stks 1600m at Morphettville and a 2000m open Hcp. Then freshen for the Spring.

He's back on Saturday in the last at Sandown.  Less hype about him now after his first defeat at Flemington but he drops 5.5kg for his first outing in an open handicap.   He's drawn well (6) and has Mark Zahra aboard. He has won both his first up outings.   Currently last start winner Buffalo River is the warm favourite and Harbour Views is $5 in the early markets.

That was his first start in open company and his first start on a heavy track (or at least a track that heavy).  The plan of taking him to Adelaide and  Group company is another step up but I like the way this horse moves and the way he has been handled.  There is a good race or two in him.
