Were there a scratching in the Caulfield Guineas tomorrow this fellow would have three starters in the race.  Good effort for a 2nd season sire whose stock should be better over 2000m or more.

ps: Our staying bred 3yo by him Contours (see djebel's pedigree printout on the prior page) had his first jump out over 1000m last week.  Let's just say he won't be winning an Oakleigh Plate any time soon.  Embarrassed  Wink

For the moment at least he's now the leading 2nd season sire in Oz. Highly unusual for a staying bred type.

Every time I look at Ghaiyyath's pedigree I think - Dubawi (stood in Australia for a short time), Galileo (stood in Australia for a short time), Ahonoora (stood in Australia for a short time), Bluebird (stood in Australia also).

Why do we still think we don't have staying blood in Australia?
