Yes furious, post-race interview Mick Price said her yearling X-rays showed some issues that meant she’d need some time and care (and that she is a bit of an ugly ducking with a sway back and boof head) but is big, strong, clean-winded, moves well and is a “black type horse coming”.

Hey many of the old Star Kingdom line were sway backed.  My uncle had an old horse who was sway backed.  He wasn't the most comfortable to ride though!  He had a bit of a ridge on his backbone also.

The perfect example of a sway back was non other than Tulloch , not hideously , but noticeable , then on the other side of the coin I asked my boss after he came back from the sales one day why he didn't come home with the Better Boy colt he liked , " had a " roach back " he said Ouch its was Century , bought by his mate Bart .
