How did this filly come on your radar?

The only Aquacade I found on Racing Australia website is a 28yo mare who last raced at Rockhampton in 1997!

Notice this 3yo filly broke her maiden yesterday at her 2nd start at Te Aroha over 1600m with an SP of $17!

Another of djebels black bookers, but sadly I paid no attention to NZ racing on a Friday morning so a missed opportunity.

Hope you had at least a little on her djebel Clap

Probably not going to reach stardom but she just won her 4th race at start 10 in a 2400m special conditions race at Te Rapa.

Interesting after the race the trainer said the Auckland Cup (3200m) would be the aim, then they interviewed the jockey who said she was fading fast at the end, won't get two miles and 2400-2600m is her limit.

Noticed this mare won again last weekend over 2100m at Tauranga by 6.5 lengths and is now favourite for the Auckland Cup.

Avondale Cup at 2400m is next start, then onto the Auckland Cup.

Also in Sydney Cup entries.

This mare won again on the weekend

In-form staying mare Aquacade declared she is the horse to beat in the Gr.2 Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup (3200m) with an emphatic statement as she powered home to take out the Gr.2 ATR Avondale Cup (2400m) at Pukekohe.

The Lance Noble-trained four-year-old started a warm favourite ($2.90) in the race off the back of victories in three of her last four starts and fully justified that support with an authoritative performance.

Bred and raced by Cambridge Stud couple Brendan and Jo Lindasy, Aquacade is a daughter of Dundeel and out of Forest Of Seas, a three-quarter sister to Gr.1 St Leger (2800m) runner-up The Last Drop.

The couple announced immediately after the race that they would donate the $80,000 first prize purse to the Hawke’s Bay Cyclone Gabrielle relief fund.

Saw this mare ran 2nd to Legarto.

That has to be a huge performance at 1600m for connections.

I know that article indicates she’s aiming for local races like the Counties Cup & Zabeel Classic.

But they are both relatively paltry prize money races & I think she wouldn’t be out of place if she contested some races over the Melb spring - eg: Matriarch Stks &/or Zipping Classic

Very disappointing in the Counties Cup yesterday.

Had a perfect run in transit, gap opened up beautifully in the straight and she didn’t quicken & just plugged away to the line for a well beaten 4th place.

She did have to give a lot of weight to the winner who is 7 wins from 12 runs now and on the way up but yeh she was disappointing.

Saw Dazzled's last win and she could be a up coming black type winner if she can find the right race.

Just for those interested.

The NZRB have started placing their preview and review shows on you tube. Very informative, and they also interview NZ trainers who have runners in Australia.
