Needs his own thread , as may well be a champion stallion in the future .Big call , but his stats are very very good . He had good a good Ascot carnival, but his best is yet to come no doubt .

I have to say when analysing his stats, he does stand out as the one with the most potential to make it as a stallion of high quality.
I hope he does return to Australia at some stage

Thunderous (3c Night Of Thunder x Souviens Toi, by Dalakhani) has just won the Gp2 Dante Stakes by outstaying the odds-on pop Highest Ground who looked the winner one furlong out. As a 2yo, Thunderous tasted success in the LR Washington Singer Stakes. |

Interesting he's the same female line as Better Boy, Gainsborough, Le Cordonnier and Salieri. All stallions which had blood do really well in Australia. He was a 1000 Guineas winner yet only served 93 mares and 24 missed. Could of been people got scared away by the Galileo and Desert Prince 1st and 2nd dam. Neither sire having really done well in Australia. Although both were from fine families and well performed. Who'd want to work out which stallions work in Australia! We all know how much of a gamble it is.

You just have to look at Helmet. He started in Australia and then served in Europe. His first season in Australia wasn't good. Yet his Europe crop turned up some very good gallopers. Now if he started in Europe and then had his stock come out in Australia that first good crop might of over ridden the idea they were totally wrong. Who knows.
