And gives them a hiding today at (lowly) Casterton.  Maybe she's on the way back.

I wondered how long untill someone dragged up this thread again! SC you didn't disappoint LOL
I regard her in the same bracket as Carif & Coolth as punting prospects but at least one's gone, so I guess there's something to be grateful for LOL

Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

She was way too good for them today, I was watching her closely in the yard and it looked like she's got a big tank, you'd think she was a 10 year old gelding by looking at her.

2nd start: 1st in an open maiden over 2200m
3rd start: 3rd in today's St Leger stakes over 2800m.

Can't ever remember an Australian 3yo having its 3rd start over such a distance.  Maybe a SA Oaks starter.

Gee she’s racing really consistently this campaign Thumbs Up

Not surprising, I’ve seen so many staying-bred mares over the years not hit their straps until their 5yo & 6yo seasons.  Great to see a little bit of patience & maturity paying off rather than getting whisked off to stud as a 4-5yo

Bit annoyed they are not thinking Adelaide Cup for her.

Talking 3000m Moonee Valley races and a flippant mention of the Jericho.

Unfortunately very few trainers think Adelaide Cup anymore.

Owner of Wahine Toa loves winning races at the Bool, so understandable the mentioning the Jericho Cup.  She is also a half to Wil John who won the race in 2021.

Wouldn’t suprise me if the winners purse for the Jericho Cup was around the same as the Adelaide Cup either!

I noticed this mare was retired after her unplaced run in that 2800m race on Melb Cup day.

But how good does her younger half-bro look - Another Wil.

Smashed the opposition again in a BM84 at Flemington & looks to be really going places.  Maybe gets his own thread soon enough Smile

Looking at the other siblings from the mare Will John is a handy horse himself and the 3yo Tamahine ran a good second on debut last month, goes around Tuesday at Terang (does hold an Oaks nom)
