Hey all,

I’m wondering if anyone here has gone into breeding with a large stud such as aquis, coolmore, arrowfield etc or had any experience around this? Is it worth it?

No sorry, I meant with a stallion. Weighing up some options with a small share in one that has retired.

Probably should of been a bit clearer, apologies.

I acquired a life time nomination in Jabali.

I have been very happy with Sun Stud on direct matters.  If you lived in Victoria I would recommend them highly as they have been very good to deal with.

However I was not impressed when they left Qld leaving several stallions including Jabali in need of new homes.  But that is the risk one takes with interstate businesses.

To their credit I believe they did the best they could to keep the stallions in Qld and give them some opportunity there.  I also note that the better Jabali's are racing down south so I suspect they are still giving him some support closer to their home.

Almost all the Jabali's have shown promise Mumtaz, so best of luck.

ps I selected one in the great TBV Bargain Buy competition thread.  Named Jabali Gold it debuts on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
pss has run last in two trials so it looks like I selected the runt of the litter.  Cry
