Last Years winner Bringham Rocks got no Penalty to remain on 52kgs, however Night's Watch received a 1kg penalty up to 52kgs. Would think a 1kg penalty will be given this year in my opinion.

That is my thinking,

Steel Prince gave him 2.5 yesterday and would give him 1.5 for a 0.85 lengths defeat if he made the Cup should O get a 1 kg penalty.

How so? 3 runs this time in and he's prepped up well, hadn't raced for 12 months and prior to that another 12, if soundness was the reason for enforced break he appears to be sound now and every chance is doing too well in the stable so this May has forced his hand , he's still racing a little keen and the trainer may well run him to take a little " edge" of him, if there are no problems I cannot see any reason for him not to start fwiw.

Was gone pretty early in the race too when over racing giving himself very little chance to get home near the front at the business end.

Orderofthegarter (IRE) Rider Damien Oliver reported that in his view the gelding did not run out the 2400 metres of today's race. A post?race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  Stewards will follow up with the stable.

Went for a spell after finishing down the track in the Herbert Power Hcp last spring.  No abnormalities from post race vet exam.  Are the follow ups with stables by stewards later on then made public?

He looked great in his few runs before that failure, so a shame he’s seemingly not making it back to the track.

Not sure if this link will work but here’s the promo for his upcoming sale
