3YO filly by Savabeel, engaged tomorrow in the G1 NZ Oaks, Trentham 2400m

Coming off an effortless win in the G3 Lowland Stakes 2100m.

Probably bides her time at the back until Chris Johnson unleashes her devastating turn of hoof.
$3+ is stealing money. Milseain and others might get closer over the extra 300m but with even luck I can't see how they turn the tables.

Any negs from our friends across the dtch???

CWJ had the choice of Savvy Coup or Contessa Vanessa (Team Rogerson) climbed off Roggie's and went with the Pitman horse. Savvy Coup should go very close ( Johnson going for his 5th Oaks win) Mark Two will run well (Stephen Marsh and Danielle Johnson)

Just watched the replay. What a fabulous ride by Johnson from near the outside to be one off midfield before the turn. Glad he didn't follow my map LOL

Still hasn't much of a clue about racing this girl, when she learns to settle - look out. Worthy contender for the ATC Oaks but can't help feel she'll be much better in 6 months.

Interesting to see what raters make of this Oaks compared to the last two.

Kiwis, what do you think of Savvy Coup V Danzdanzdance
SC seems to have the turn of hoof, Danz maybe a better stayer at this point?

Very good filly. Hard to line up SC vs DDD, SC has the runs on the board but over 2400m DDD would give her a challenge.

Problem is what do you aim her at?

I would say Brisbane is her go Hollindale into Doomben Cup, into Brisbane Cup.

Not sure she is up to the Melbourne/Sydney autumn.
