I feel he is a very underrated stallion but that is because he seems to be a bit difficult, I question the soundness of his horses as a lot of the G1 level ones have all had extensive periods on the sidelines and he doesn't throw early maturers but imo for 1600m+, he is fighting it out with all Australasian Sires not named Savabeel. We have to remember that his Rosemont support wasn't huge when he first got there and his career only picked up again after his really strong early crops so we will be getting a better indication of how good he actually is over the next 2 seasons.

Certainly if  Incentivise was managed a little better , Shamus Award's stocks may have definitely improved but he was around for a minute , then gone .
It would of been interesting if he was given a decent spell after winning the Caulfield Cup .

Yeah like Moody even said he pulled up not the best from the race. Very bad decision to run him in the cup in hindsight. Shows how freaky he was, that he sat wide on a very hot tempo, for his 12th run in 7 months, sustained a career ending injury and still came 2nd, beating home one of Europes best stayers that season carrying good weight as well.

Shamus Award had a few at a similar time that probably didn't reach their potential but I am backing him in to turn it around over the next few seasons.

Side note, I get why Incentivise may have been gelded considering he didn't have a start until he was 5 but with how well his 3/4 brother in Ardrossan has gone in NZ as well as how good Miss Argyle is as a broodmare site, I do wonder and think based off Incentivises ability, he may have been an absolutely breed shaping super stallion. Ahh well, one for the What Ifs.
