Yes Yes Yes to Stand at Gooree Park Stud

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 2

When Yes Yes Yes scored a course record breaking win in The Everest in 2019, the three year-old colt delivered a fairytale result for his ownership group and some of those owners are committed to ensuring his future at stud going forward and they include Julia Ritchie.

A passionate supporter of all things racing and a successful breeder in her own right under the Bangaloe Stud banner, Ritchie is a shareholder in Yes Yes Yes, who has relocated from Coolmore this spring to stand at Gooree Park Stud near Mudgee.

While his racing career was cut short through injury after just eight starts, Yes Yes Yes was still able to establish himself as the best sprinter in the country and his loyal group of shareholders are committed to giving him the time and opportunity to ultimately make his mark at stud.

“All of his shareholders are on board and committed to supporting Yes Yes Yes at his new home of Gooree Park Stud and we know he will get the very best of care with the Gooree team at Mudgee,” said Julia Ritchie.

“It’s a great location being not too far from anywhere and I feel he fits a niche market at an affordable fee ($16,500 inc GST) as a high quality horse at the beginning of his career that is getting plenty of winners.”

A fast pre-Christmas winning juvenile that trained on at three, Yes Yes Yes has had good opportunity in his first few years at stud and with his oldest progeny now three year-olds, he has sired 39 Aussie winners this season, plus two winners in New Zealand.

He is running fourth on the second crop sires list by winners with only Too Darn Hot (GB), Pierata and Blue Point (IRE) ahead of him with his best runners including classy three year-old Firm Agreement, who was second in the Group I ATC Australian Derby and brilliant Perth 2YO filly Yes Queen, a gallant second in the Group III WATC Gimcrack Stakes.

The winners keep coming for Yes Yes Yes including progressive three year-old filly Oui Oui Oui, who has won this year at Kembla and Hawkesbury as she works through her grades.

At Pinjarra last Saturday, the Sean and Jake Casey trained three year-old colt Want a Win kept his unbeaten record intact when saluting as a short priced favourite over 1200m and has now had three wins in as many starts.

“A week doesn’t go by that he doesn’t sire winners and he’s had some nice stakes horses, but what he really needs is that one seriously good horse to come along and when it does, he will go straight back up the food chain,” Ritchie added.

“Coolmore is an elite stallion business and realistically they give them three or four seasons to make it and some stallions take a little longer, so as a group of shareholders, we are giving him the opportunity of time as we all own mares to send to him.

“The mares can agist at Gooree for the season and we look forward to building a good relationship going forward.”

Yes Yes Yes has another strong crop of rising two year-olds to add to his burgeoning success and his yearlings sold this year for up to $240,000 with a filly from Lanikai his top seller for Tyreel Stud at Inglis Classic.

A grand-son of Encosta de Lago from a prolific Black Type female family bristling with speed, Yes Yes Yes has serious pedigree and elite race performance with his fee of $16,500 representing value with potential upside.

Saw him in Nov at Gooree, was in good health but farm said on the quiet very little interest, I would suspect many were freebys or gift covers to fiends

He has over 200 horses over 3yo rising 4yo with out an Australian stakes winner, his book is marked, weather that be right or wrong thats it.
He could get a freak from a out-there mating and good luck to them, I really wish them well, but he is so far now from commercial its not funny and or fair.
The one plus is they are usually correct and good lookin, big pony club market in Mudgee.

Ciao For Now Oldflight
