Crikey what an interesting story, even if I did skip thru' the middle 2/3s LOL Yes, they are to my knowledge, tho' probably not the 2k stallion serving 5 mares a season.

Wild Ride is a good read.  In there they speculate that the horse had his leg bashed with an iron bar.
And his name plate is still attached to his stall, and I have stood in that stall, and it made me cry to think what they did to that animal, the greedy bastads.  And if you ask the people there now what do they think happened to him, no one will say a word.
