Maybe that was very cheap for the pedigree!

I just remembered Elvstroem failed his tests after sale.  So could be something in the family and doubling up not such a good idea!

And Elvis's half-brother Haradasun had appalling legs.

Also I tend to try and find the cheaper lots SC.  There are plenty of dear ones I love but I knock them out!

I'm wishing for time to peruse your selection furious, Been such a busy few days with horses and farm work. We will in time see them as runners and forget any flaws they may have had, most live with what they have. It's their heart (unseen in the sale ring) that will shine through.

Couldn't fault that filly's movement so it must have been scope or X-Rays.  If she'd been offered 20 years ago I'd have seriously considered purchasing her for $30k (or its equivalent back then).

And sale price is too often tied to sire hype: imo you frequently see yearlings by top sires but from very ordinary female families sell for far too much.

And GAJ informs me that her friend did indeed purchase Lot 633 on behalf on Japanese clients, so it'll be interesting to see how he goes up there.  Thumbs Up

ps: he's out of a winning half-sister to the outstanding race mare Sunlight.

Thanks SC, and thanks also to Take 2 who gave a positive critique on this fellow after I gave him a selection My friend came back with, one being 633 that SC had suggested. I will find out more about the sale on his return, but he did mention his general impression of the sword of State progeny was excellent. The new owner is no stranger to great horses! Hope this one is too..

Thanks for the feed back, she was lovely all the same, fault may be a reflection of price paid.
Be good to follow the other O Park in the future.
