Not the best finish to the season for us (perhaps an understatement!) but having already secured CL qualification and with the squad showing the effects of a long season it was perhaps not a huge surprise to lose, although not by that margin.
Credit where it is due to Crystal Palace, this is only their second ever top 10 finish in the top flight (they finished 3rd in 1990-91 and I believe their highest total of goals in a top flight season. European qualification spots are worth mentioning, Champions League: Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa. Europa: Tottenham, Man Utd (with FA Cup win)/Chelsea (If City win the cup). Conference: Newcastle (If City win the cup)/Chelsea (If United win the cup).
