One observation though. I’m away for 24 hrs and not only do the lunatics take over the asylum…but this place turns to “chit”!

Glad to hear our No. 1 Chitter has returned safely Thumbs Up

Though you'll probably have to work another 3 years without holidays to pay for the gas.

I might have to make the ultimate sacrifice and stay at the Moyhu Hilton full time until the war ends and things are close to normal again.

My cousin and I are staying with my best mate and his wife and last night after a perfect steak, Greek salad and a few bottles of wine my solicitor mate told a few war stories. No names, no pack drill.

One story was about a bloke he represented in front of a lady Magistrate. He knew she was an animal lover. I can’t remember the offence but it was serious enough that my mate warned his client he might not avoid a time in prison.

“Don’t worry mate, I’ve done time before…I can handle it.”

One of the prosecution’s witnesses was asked whether she recognised the accused. “Not really Your Honour but he reminds of a man who helped me change a flat tyre on a road in the middle of nowhere.”

A quick consult with his client who confirmed he had helped the witness change a tyre, gave her dog some water and made sure she made it to the next town.

My solicitor mate was called to the bench. “Mr solicitor, one good turn deserves another.”

The accused was given a slap on the wrist and lives to maybe offend another day.

Certainly hope you didn't do any soliciting while away from house and home FF.
