Off to stud Newgate Farm supremo Henry Field told Racenet retiring Militarize was a "difficult decision to weigh up ahead of his four-year-old season". "We thought long and hard about it but felt that Militarize as a Group 1 winner at two and three did not have a lot left to prove on the racetrack," he said. |

He still had plenty to prove on the race track. Albeit winless, he had a great 3yo autumn racing at a high level at open age. There’d have been plenty of good races in him in the 2024 spring & 2025 autumn.
Don’t we all want these quality types to race on as older horses. Racing on as a 4yo & 5yo didn’t hurt the late great Lonhro’s stude career.

Absolute pretender. Beat nothing as a 2 and 3yo (check the placegetters behind him, sub-fertile at stud, and unsurprisingly ordinary as a gelding.
ps: tipped him in the comp today so I'm as ordinary as he is.
