Looks likely to get the Celtic job.

While not as big a club as the fans would like to believe, Celtic is all the same still a proud club with a proud history including the famous 1967 European Cup win with 13 of the 15 born within 10 miles of Celtic Park, the other two born 11 and 30 miles away.  Plus stacks of domestic honours.

Scotland is a 2 team league no doubt, but if Ange can go up there and win the league and progress in Europe he may turn heads in one of the bigger leagues and land the career job at a top club.

Worked miracles at Yokohama. 12th in 2018, he took them to the title in 2019. 2020 was a write off but has them in 3rd currently with 4 games in hand on the 2 teams above albeit Kawasaki racing away with it on top.

No doubt his toughest gig yet at Celtic but if successful this is the one that takes him to a top club.

Watched the game , Ange pulled off a master buy from Japans J 1 league , a bloke called Kyogo who has scored 16 goals since his arrival 6 months ago and both in their 2-1 win over Hibs. Celtic warming to this bloke now ( Ange) after holding their nose at the start of the season , he's got a few more surprises up his sleeve too , well done Ange.

The intense pressure of international football management has accounted for Ange Postecoglou after the beleaguered coach confirmed he has quit the Socceroos and will not lead them to the World Cup finals in Russia. His decision comes just a week after securing qualification for next year’s tournament.

The 52-year-old cut an emotional figure as he fronted a media conference in Sydney on Wednesday, when he said his four-year tenure in charge of the national side had taken its toll on him “both personally and professionally”.

“After a great deal of thought and soul-searching, the journey for me ends as Socceroos coach,” he said, after he met with Football Federation Australia chairman Steven Lowy and CEO David Gallop on Tuesday.
