STORMY ATLANTIC — He died on a stormy afternoon. As if the sky wanted to sign it. On March 17, 2026, Stormy Atlantic passed away peacefully at Bridlewood Farm in Ocala, Florida. He was 32 years old. On the track he had been honest, not legendary: six wins from fifteen starts. But as a sire he revealed something the racetrack hadn't fully shown — the ability to transmit greatness. 112 stakes winners. 48 graded. Seven champions across three continents. And one son in particular who deserves a story of his own: Stormy Liberal, claimed for just $40,000 in October 2016 as if he were nothing, then becoming one of only two horses in history to win the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint twice — in 2017 at Del Mar and in 2018 at Churchill Downs — and Eclipse Champion Turf Male.
