Guru, if your around, what are your thoughts on tonight?
I’m going wide in quite a few races but obviously cheering on the champ despite a bet on cya art and speak the truth The trotters are tough, Arce from the pole is a risk so plugging for one of the bolters. London to a Brick, Gus or Parisiane Artise . Exotics May be my best play Hesitate has drawn to win the Derby if he can gather pace early but Fate Awaits is a hope to blouse him Eye Keep Smiling simply wins the Golden Girl. Playing F4s with Sterno to run second

Leap to Fame wows the crowd in $1 million Inter Dominion FinalLeap To Fame demolish his harness racing opponents in the $1 million Group 1 Ladbrokes Inter Dominion Pacers Grand Final at Albion Park on Saturday evening. Australia’s leading and best known pacer was a prohibitive favourite despite the reservations of his pole draw. And as expected from the start Grant Dixon eased one of the fence and it wasn’t long before he charged around the field to head off early leader Speak The Truth At the finish he had seven metres to spare over Speak The Truth who battled on for second with game pacer Cya Art coming in third just ahead of Don Hugo. Through virtue of his win Leap To Fame has now become Australia’s richest ever pacer with over $4.63 million in stake money. His record is outstanding with 56 wins from 69 appearances.

Clearly the best horse won. For entertainments sake I wish Herbertson tried to lead on Rakero Rebel. It would have created a smaller space for Leap to Fame to push out to the running line. Also, it would have actually been the right play for the horse, instead of staying in running line and covering 30m of extra ground.

I must say I was mighty pleased to see Herbertson not push on. My boy Cya would have ended up even further back
