My daughter just showed me Bruno Mars latest song: 'I Just Might.'  I'd go and see him in concert. I love Uptown Funk, Count On Me, Versace on the Floor etc.

So many others come third!  lets say Boz Scaggs.
Ended up at the post gig party with my gay friends who were seeking Marc Hunter (Dragon Support band) Oh those days!

My sister was Boz Scaggs mad. I liked him too, but when he is played eighteen hours a day he can become too much...

Harry Connick has a better version of 'It Had To Be You' than even Frank Sinatra.

Saw Elton John at the wineries a few years back. Had great seats near the front . He was so good. And the lighting was amazing.

Not the best concert I’ve been to because The Beach Boys were on their downward path but in about 1980 I saw them at the Sydney Football Stadium.

It pi$$ed down raining and from the stage they threw out 20m lengths of plastic sheet to the crowd, that everyone threw above their heads.

“Sydney, you are crazy!” was the band comment.

You're killing me, slowdown!
I would've given my left one to have been at that gig LOL

Violent Femmes at the Enmore was also nudging my Top 3.

But TBH, for me, nothing could ever beat Nirvana at the Big Day Out. Especially after Kurt died, it became a sacred memory Heart

Elton at the wineries would have been amazing and surreal, aa Thumbs Up

And GAJ – the actual Stones!!! When they were young(er)! That would be on my time-machine bucket-list.

A few more:

My Fair Lady at Her Majesty's. The best musical ever IMO

Ross Wilson at The Armadale Hotel in the 90's- the daddy of cool.

Robert Palmer  Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Centre, 1988. Not much of a showman but nattily dressed and a great voice. I found the show simply irresistible.

Fiddler On The Roof 1997 Regent Theatre with Chaim Topol. Tickets were a bit expensive, I remember thinking if I were a rich man.

Swan Lake Australian Ballet with Margot Fonteyn, Rudolf Nureyev  Palais Theatre, around 1973. Not really into ballet but was an usher, privileged to see it.

Declaration of Independence, signed after The Civil War. Trump said so.

Yes BP that was the Voodoo Lounge tour 1994, so yes younger but not too! Visually amazing with towering dolls, music to be expected and Mick never stopped moving and giving the whole show.
He really is a showman. They ask nothing from the audience, just do their thing.

Did anyone get to see Russel Morris and Brian Cadd do a gig together? So much talent between them and so many great home grown songs.
I do believe Brian Cadd has been unwell and Russel Morris may have retired from performing, such a shame I would have gone back for a second experience.

Morris performed here in Bendigo last year as part of his "Farewell Tour" GAJ, however we did miss it.

Though those that went said he was marvellous, if rather different from the "Real Thing" days.  Wink

We saw Topol the same year but not at the same venue.

A brilliant show and a generational talent!

I do however need to say that the worst concert I’ve ever been to was Willy Nelson at the old Glasshouse (opposite the MCG).

I really liked his music, but he came on, went through the motions with no emotion or care and went off.

Terrible.

Re Willy Nelson, obviously everyone in Melbourne wanted to go to the concert and the nearest parking spot was a kilometer away.

Even today in Vic you can park your motorbikes on the footpath as long as you aren’t impeding pedestrians.

So we rode our bikes in, parked within 5m of the entrance, stuck our helmets etc under our concert seats and were the first to leave the debacle.

I heard a rumour Ff couldn't get enough of Culture Club, or more particularly Boy George.

Nah Boy George wasn’t a thing for me but I didn’t mind him (her?) on that reality show where s(he) was a judge.

What was it called?

Anyway it was a “reality show” that everybody except me loved.

“The Voice”?

Oh faaaaaarrr out! Now you’re just getting annoying LOL

I LOVE rockwiz. I bought both Duet CDs and played them so often they actually wore them out.

Right. Time to pull out the big gun - I went to Cold Chisel’s Last Stand. Admittedly my uncles took me and I was only a tween but still - I was there.
