Has anyone looked at the mare Bahamas (13a same family line as Juliet)  by Teofilo (1-n).  I missed her first two stakes winners Berkeley Square (Territories 1-l) and Senor Toba (Toronado 1-d) but picked up on her and marked Angel Capital (Harry Angel 1-l).

Now this has to be deliberate so someone out there has worked out 13 and 1 love each other and are sticking to the formula.

Bahamas must of been thought highly of as she only had 7 runs with the last four all placings in stakes events including the G1 Schweppes Oaks.

They have gone away for the last few matings going to Blue Point (4-l) by Shamardal (1-l) twice and a dead foal by Pinatubo (7a) also by Shamardal (1-l).  Pity they didn't give Too Darn Hot a go as while he's not 1 he's 13c and has as 1-l cross of Shirley Heights in his pedigree.  And Dubawi his sire got dual G1 winner Secret Admirer (13a) during his short stay in Australia.

The breeder would have to be David Peacock, a recent inductee into to the South Australian Racing Hall of Fame

Globetrotting jockey Glynn Pretty, prominent breeder and administrator David Peacock and multiple Group 1 winner Fileur are this year's inductees into the South Australian Racing Hall of Fame.

Peacock has been a leading breeder for decades, often carrying the "Discreet" moniker while his lime green silks have enjoyed plenty of success, including Maybe Discreet's victory in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks in 2013.

He's also had two stints on the board of the South Australian Jockey Club, first from 1981-1991 and again as chairman from 2009-2012.

"David Peacock's influence is significant - as a thoughtful administrator in some tough times, an owner, and, particularly, as a breeder,"

"It's people like David that are so important in that breeding area for South Australia, to maintain our relevance in the competitive world of yearling sales."

Well he's done his homework and it's worked for this mare that's for sure.
