Another interesting stat PT
The Roosters have been beaten 17 times by 20 plus margins since 2020. 7 of those were to the Panthers Says to me they have the wood on them !

Here's a few of the problems.
* Walker is below average....that's his level * DCE should not be in the team * Father time is catching up on Teddy * Tupou is now a liability, as are half your old slow forward pack * Having a few players just hanging around waiting to move on cannot be good. * Your coach needs to be moved on. Your roster should be producing better results over the past number of years. You don't win Premierships on paper ! |

I think we will win and win well, we've had our fair share of false dawns over the years but this one looks and feels a lot more promising, I must admit enthusiasm should be tempered a bit because I think this Cowboys side is playing to get themselves a new coach but there was a lot to like last week, our halves work well together, Pole, May and Twal worked well as a middle unit and were ably supported by Hunt and Sione Fainu when they came on, Api is the chief, Sam Fainu and KPP provide strike on the edge. We'll look even better then Taylan May and To'a are back in the centres with Makasini and Turuva on the wings.

Twal and Seyfarth were very, very good when it counted.
A few other forwards too. Backs take the slaps on the back for the flashy stuff, but give me the warhorses every time. No flash without crash.

Every possible chance yesterday....plenty of ball....good preparation....no use playing "Benjii Ball" if the skill level isn't there. Benjii reckoned there was a lot of good to come out of the game  What...Lauii & Doueihi being on crutches....not that the latter is any great loss I suppose. Bula is an average option...zero penetration....Twal a log.....Api showing signs of losing his edge. Sort of team that will win when they shouldn't.....whilst losing more that they should. |

No one wants to talk NRL all of a sudden
Lots of fat to chew Hope you cashed out your Newcastle Top 8 PT as i suggested . They were brave yesterday, however can see a capitulation on the horizon. Lack the quality without Ponga / Brown. What do they do in the halves at the Warriors. Got them in spades. Tanna Boyd best in game at moment, superstar Metcalfe ready to return, Harris-Tavita & Te Maire Martin go alright, ex-young Panther Luke Hansen went well yesterday....great defense, & Jett Cleary impressing everyone in lower grade. Nice set of options. And the fullback position is not up for grabs either. 6 doesn't go into 2 Mitchell played strong yesterday....he is a powerful bugger. Still looks to be carrying a spare tyre....but hard to knock this results. The Hammer is a freak. Most explosive player in the game. How Cowboys let him go for Drinkwater is beyond me Not sure about Cronulla either...Manly even more so

Buts its worth adding....there has been a changed in terminology. Cooper said a dozen times yesterday that the Chooks team is a "work in progress" Last year it was "rebuilding" Can someone explain the difference please

Chooks are on track.
A month in reserve grade for Marky alongside Cody Ramsay learning the difference between RU and NRL and he will be fine. Reece Robson will be a revelation.

No excuses for the Chooks....full strength pretty well Lose tonight & they are in more strife than Flash Gordon Would normally expect a Manly form reversal based on their miserable start to the season.....but just could be going too bad
