Our esteemed member,  Dizzy, is currently laid up in hospital with a badly broken leg.
I hope it heals quickly for her, and she is soon up and about again.
Best wishes Diz.

Long story, but did a good job of it. Not sure how long I will be out of action, but at least a month, and very likely longer.

I asked: Was it rock climbing?
Friend replied: Something like that LOL

Bad luck Dizzy, hope you are soon on the mend. Sounds like cups of tea and a few good books are in order.

Thanks everyone, and I was not rock climbing, rock fishing or rock anything Gay. Lol It was due to the big swell on the NSW coast.
Got caught in a freak surge, standing on the side of a creek 30 meters from where it enters the ocean. My left leg got stuck between some small rocks, twisted and snapped. In hospital one o operation down, one or 2 to go.

So the term for the operation is fasciotomy. They now need to close it, all this may or may not save the lower leg. But it iu s looking hopeful

Second operation done, closed it all up and it seems to have gone well. Now to get mobile without putting weight on the leg.
