Percy the punter at my local TAB even knows the half the ALP cabinet is made up of ex union hacks, I do not need any article written in the press to put that to paper.

 No background in business, at all.

 Why is a business background a necessity, Bob? I would think a knowledge of the law would be just as good. 

 Or even being an ex-television star.  

 Ley was born in Nigeria to English parents. She grew up in the UAE and England before moving to Australia as a teenager. Prior to entering politics she worked as a commercial pilot, farmer and public servant based in Albury, New South Wales.

After retiring from the police force with his father founded the business Dutton Holdings, the company bought, renovated, and converted buildings into childcare centres

Chris Bowen now aged 51, after being elected onto a local council he was endorsed as an ALP candidate and has been in parliament the last 20 years.

Tony Burke, after graduating from university he became a political staffer and union organizer before being elected to parliament 20 years ago.

Anthony Albanese, our PM, after leaving school he worked at the Commonwealth Bank for two years, no doubt as a 17 year-old in the high finance division before studying economics at university, then a took on a role as a research officer to Tom Uren, the Minister for Local Government, when the position for Assistant General Secretary for the NSW branch of the ALP became vacant he was elected for the next six years. In 1996 he was selected as the candidate for the seat of Grayndler, won the seat, and has held it ever since.

Between the three of those they have no experience in business and unbelievably they form a major part of the government in telling big and small business in Australia how it should run.
