Apparently, both sides are in agreement over a law stopping Mr Musk,s sites from showing violent stuff, like the Waverly stabbing,  radical hate preachers, and inciting racial tensions, etc.

I would drop over with shock if both sides of parliament ever stopped being obstructive and just did what was right for the country...

 Can I frame this comment?

Possibly about as ridiculous a statement/ question as has ever been posted.

Bobby, did you forget about the deficit the previous government of the supposed great economic managers had managed to build up even prior to the COVID years?
Seeing Manchester United relegated would mean more than words can describe to me.

So it's got nothing to do with economic conditions that virtually every other first world nation is similarly experiencing?

So what brought on this sudden urge to attempt to prove that the Coalition are better equiped to run the economy than the ALP?  Usually it's either a Murdoch article or something one of his reptiles on Sky say, so forgive me for just going strait to the usual reason.

To think Tony Burke, with his personal background being nothing other than unionism is now the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations makes a mockery of him being Minister in charge of that important portfolio.

Look at Dutton, Taylor etc and it clearly demonstrates that having a diverse background still means you can enter parliament and have no idea whatsoever about how to run a country.

Try putting up Simon Birmingham's profile.

No background in business, at all.

Why is a business background a necessity, Bob? I would think a knowledge of the law would be just as good.

Or even being an ex-television star.  Wink

 SSussssan Ley.

Ley was born in Nigeria to English parents. She grew up in the UAE and England before moving to Australia as a teenager. Prior to entering politics she worked as a commercial pilot, farmer and public servant based in Albury, New South Wales.

I thought all public servants were bottom-dwellers, according to you RWNJs.

With members of the Albanese government blaming Coles , Woolies and big business for the cost of living crisis in Australia it is the disconnect comes from the fact there is no overlap between who goes into business and who goes into politics. The preparliamentary  backgrounds of modern ALP politicians reveal even less overlap than in the past,
      Here are a few..
Chris Bowen now aged 51, after being elected onto a local council he was endorsed as an ALP candidate and has been in parliament the last 20 years.
Tony Burke, after graduating from university he became a political staffer and union organizer before being elected to parliament 20 years ago.
Anthony Albanese, our PM, after leaving school he worked at the Commonwealth Bank for two years, no doubt as a 17 year-old in the high finance divisionWink before studying economics at university, then a took on a role as a research officer to Tom Uren, the Minister for Local Government, when the position for Assistant General Secretary for the NSW branch of the ALP became vacant he was elected for the next six years. In 1996 he was selected as the candidate for the seat of Grayndler, won the seat, and has held it ever since.

Between the three of those they have no experience in business and unbelievably they form a major part of the government in telling big and small business in Australia how it should run.
