if we lose this match...and it is a definite possibility...then  Paulo and Mitchell can put their hands up to take the blame.

About time Jaxson P was replaced.

Like I said...he's got to go.

We have better wingers who know what they are doing...

All that effort for Paulo to mess it up...

 Rubbish...

the Souths site had to restrict the commenting and take down some posts.

All saying the same...Paulo and Mitchell, the villains.

I couldn't get over Mitchell not even attempting to chase Crichton after he picked up that loose ball to run and score. Mitchell just stood still and watched, after putting out a weak hand.

If he's not fit enough to chase...or score when he himself picked up a loose ball and got clear, why is he playing?

As for Paulo...the coach can wear that dismal showing. Everyone knows he's a weakness...everyone but the coach...

Penrith's defence is awesome most of the time...but laying on players endlessly, to slow the play-the-ball, should draw penalties...

Congrats to the Panthers racking up another Minor Premiership. They were awesome last night beating the Bunnies. Cleary, Luai , Fisher-Harris & Sorensen still to come in. That's got to scare the sox off the other teams

Souths showed they have the best backline in the game last night - silky smooth. They are shaping up well - although they need to get Top 4 which is now going to be difficult.

Mitchell was typical Mitchell. Brilliant patches intermingled with laziness. Cant see that ever changing. He should be made to sit down & watch every game Edwards has played this year - he never stops injecting himself into the game. And to think i wanted him gone a few years back Ouch

Panthers title to lose !

they...the Panthers...are a very well-coached side. They move up in line in defence and attack and are relentless.

BUT...Souths should have won last night and given themselves a chance  for a top four spot.

Demetriou's press conference was strange, in that he blamed the forwards who let Martin score, rather than the player who let them get into a position to score.

Still a 4 way go for 6th, 7th, 8th place. Souths v Roosters could decide 8th in round 25.

Canberra have an easy last two, in comparison to Souths.

Souths are effectively 2 games in front of Raiders. Souths only to win one more match out of the 3 left to be safe. Same situation for Bronco's , Eels & Roosters. Think its highly unlikely for the Raiders

only two rounds to go for Souths...against the cowboys and chooks.

we don't have the best record against the cowboys, so that's not a gimme..

If the Raiders beat the Knights...which they probably will...they'll be only two behind.

mind you, the Broncos are in the same situation, plaaying the Storm this week, then two hard matches after that.

Actually - correction -  Roosters have to win 2 out of 3 if Canberra win all 3

Yes Raiders have the worst for & against. 59 points behind next worst Eels. So Canberra cant get to more than 30 points even if they win their last 3 games - with the worst for & against almost assured.

So once a team gets to 30 points they will be in the 8

as I said...we don't always play well against the Cowboys, but being at home might help.

I can't see any of those teams beating Canberra.

I'm starting to think Parra might miss the eight. Mind you - I think its more likely Canberra will take the easy way out to their end of year celebrations & drop a match. They will beat Knights - however both Manly & Wests could then send them packing . Fact is Canberra are just are not that good a team - regardless of what sooky la, la Stuart thinks.

its possible 5 teams finish with 30 points. Rabbits have the toughest run in and ricky's raiders have to win their last three. Chooks will have best for and against maybe

Another scenario emerged last night with the Broncos collapse. If the rest of this round goes as the ladder suggests they drop to 9th with Eels to play next week.
