I noticed last week when everybody was raving about Latrell Mitchell he had 60 run metres. 59 yesterday. Put a 2 in front of those numbers for Tedesco.

Something going on with Latrell. Maybe his famous hamstring is not too sound. Several times he meekly allowed a turnover by not jumping to contest a 6th tackle bomb and he sprayed his 3 missed field goal attempts to the same side. Demetriou moved him to centre and Kodi to fullback in the second half. To take pressure off Latrell?

I cannot believe they are arguing about being lenient toward Cleary, on the Sunday Footy Show. Billy Slater says perhaps a quarter of the season is too harsh a penalty.

Do you have to wait until someone has a broken neck from a spear tackle before they take it seriously?

 about bloody time.

"Bad technique"? It was perfect technique for a paraplegic tackle. Had all the elements. 10 out of 10.

They take it seriously, the fact HE was sent off tells you they take it seriously.

He is not a dirty player and is contrite and showed Dylan Brown serious remorse straight away.

He will cop 5 weeks and be nice and fresh for the finals.

the league takes it seriously. Some of the commentators don't...because it's Cleary.

Really quite inexplicable why the NRL have not adopted by the AFL medical sub rule which could stop sides being penalized due to losing a player with concussion , they seem to be way behind when it comes to adopting  a model of fairness due to sometimes fowl play which can change  the course of a game .

NSW dinosaurs heard moaning in unison that the GF must always remain in Sydney because ... because the GF has always been in Sydney. And you can't argue with that logic.Geek Meanwhile, astronomers report sighting of a rogue asteroid on collision course for a direct hit on Sydney.Shocked

it's no different to the AFL wanting the GF to stay at the G.

Sydney is Rugby League heartland. The GF needs to be held here...barring a crisis.

V''landys (and Perrottet) need to pull their heads in.

What is wrong with sharing it around JJ? Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth or Brisbane? Exposure for the game? Maybe even open it up to a bidding process like the Super Bowl? The N stands for National, not Nsw...

What about fans of the Warriors, Titans, Broncos, Cowboys, Raiders or Storm, being forced to play a grand final in Sydney every year?

Would it really be fair, if the Cowboys were to win the minor premiership this season and qualify for the grand final against say, Cronulla, that their fans have to travel 2000km for the match while the Sharks fans could walk to the game?

There is a world outside of Sydney you know...

The Sydney clubs already get an advantage over the out of Sydney clubs in terms of travel, take Souths for instance, travelled to Brisbane and Melbourne to open the season, since then they've had magic round in Brisbane and trips to the Gold Coast and Newcastle, the rest in Sydney, North Queensland will fly more hours in the next month with 3 trips to Sydney, Melbourne will nearly match Souths season toll in the same time frame.

Surely a little square up of rotating grand final venues won't hurt.

Well yeah, that’s because Sydney teams make up 70% of the competition.

But I’ve got no problem with Brisbane & Melbourne getting a gig every 5 years.

those interstate teams knew when they entered the comp what the deal was.

The GF gets held in Sydney.

The grand final became traditionally a Sydney event when they had all Sydney teams. Soon there may be 8 or 9 from out of Sydney depending on expansion models.

The sky didn't fall in playing in Brisbane last year, the games feature rep games SOO have gone as far afield as California. I think that it is a good thing to take the GF to cities that are up to standard and capacity to hold one. If you want to grow the game give other places something to aspire to.

The competition has evolved from the Sydney suburban competition into a national competition, from a competition where players miss the grand final because of work to a fully professional competition, no reason that the hosting of the grand final can't also evolve with the competition.

You sound like the Ray Warren banging on about the fierce Rabbitohs-Roosters rivalry, the road where you support Souths on one side or Easts on the other, as the camera pans around a stadium with about 493 fans in it just prior to kick off.

Rabbits do take it a bit more seriously but then for us a Premiership isn't like a catastrophic 50 year weather event.

just as well paper bags aren't a hazard...

the Chooks must be a worry to the Pinky Panthers. Peaking at the right time of year.

 not so sure of that.

I don't think there are many contenders. It's a case of who meets who. The Eels have the wood on the Storm and Panthers, but are not really frightening to other teams.

I have us finishing 7th or 9th and you cant win from there. Souths also 7th or 9th with Souths vs Chooks in the last round deciding which finishes 7th.
