Okay lets see what is happening for this meeting.

Race 1. This is a tough race to kick off with. The Gauch and Dirty Thoughts ran well last start and they can go close. Faretti looked good winning fresh. Vongole was good in Adelaide. and Pride of Jenni is a hope. Hela has quality but I would prefer her at 1400m. Main bet No.2 the Gauch and save on No.6 Vongole and No.10 Dirty Thoughts.

Race 2. We have a small field for race 2, but still not an easy race to assess. I thought Wisdom Of Water ran well behind The inferno and two group capable sprinters fresh. He meets a far easier field here and he looks one of those who will be on pace. Athiri's form last prep was not great but her last run she was only beaten just over 2 lengths by Exhilirates which is good enough form to win here. Pandemic is good on his day and He's A Balter won well last start, but I do prefer him in Adelaide in the Wylie. Main bet No.5 Wisdom Of Water save on No.2 Athiri.

Race 3 Thousand Guineas Prelude. Surely on form Heresy is a good bet here. She has form behind a smart filly in Gimme Par, and she was far too good for Mr Mozart and she finished along side Artorius last start so that form has to be better than any other here. Scorched Earth is suspect at 1200m so the 1400m is for me to far a hill to climb. Morioko was disappointing last start, but that Brisbane run has her right in this if she is here. I thought Elusive Express was good against the older horses last time out and she can go close here. Main bet No.1 Heresy, save on No.5 Elusive Express and No.3 Morioko.

Race 4 Caulfield Guineas Prelude. This is not the best field of this race I have seen, but their are a couple of horses here who could go close in the Guineas. Alpine Edge was beaten by a underrated filly (I think she would be a contender in the Flight), last start who has since won again and he had to give her weight but he was also in need of the run and so he can improve significantly here and Queenslanders have a nice record in this race so he for me is a clear top rater. Lightsaber will sit forward and be hard to run past. Military expert ran well behind a smart colt last start and he can roll forward and will sit on pace. Brigantine won well last start and he could go close. Cape Breton has quality but he might need this run. Main bet No.1 Alpine Edge and save on No.5 Military Expert, No.2 Lightsaber and No.4 Athelric.

Race 5. I am unable to put a line through any runner here so back your own judgement. For the record the Main bet is No.10 Ashema and save on No.1 general Beau and No.7 Fake Love. I like Direct as a horse and if he got to double figures I could go each way on him as well.

Race 6. Well if I thought the previous race was unrateable then this is an absolute dartboard race. Annavisto would have been a hope last week and she deserves to be the favorite. Good And Proper was very good behind Annavisto last start and she is good value at $9.00. On their previous runs Aidensfield and Galgani can run well again. Main bet No.3 Annavisto, and save on No.6 Good And Proper and each way No.13 Galgani.

Race 7 Naturalism Stakes. I have narrowed this down to five winning hopes. Down the list, No.2 Angel Of Truth ran well and should get a similar run and his third up form is usually good. No.4 Delphi was very good last start and the extra 300m is ideal. No.6 Armade might be better off at 2400m+, but he trialed well and he can race well fresh. No.11 Nonconformist must surely be on his last chance with punters, but he should get every hope here, if he does not win this then I would not back him with monopoly money in this grade. And finally No.15 Tralee Rose who was a little unlucky, but she gets a perfect run as she did last start and the 2000m gives her a huge chance. Not underestimating No.13 No Effort, but the others may have caught up fitness wise although if Beau Mertens can replicate that ride, No Effort can keep going and win again. Horses like Chapada, Miami Bound, Grand Promenade and Realm Of Flowers are all watchers for future racing. Main bet No.15 Tralee Rose save on No.2 Angel of Truth, No.4 Delphi and each way No.6 Armade.

Race 8 Sir Rupert Clarke. This is a very good field. I thought goodie her we go Amish Boy is setting up beautifully here after his high class run last start and now out to 1400m, but that barrier makes me worried. For me the top three raters No.1 Behemoth, No.2 Probabeel and No.5 Beau Rossa are the winning hopes. I love Probabeel and her and Beau Rossa are my main hopes. If we were at Flemington or over 1600m then I would be all over Irish Flame who was one of the best fresh runs this year last start, but I am just worried about what run he will get in the straight. If the gaps come he can win. No surprise to see Dalasan win but at Caulfield he can run without me and of the other 4yo's, Aysar and Poland can run well. For me my ratings have I'm Thunderstruck behind Amish Boy and Poland from their 3yo season runs so he is way way unders for me. Main bet No.5 Beau Rossa and save on No.2 Probabeel. each way No.13 Amish Boy and No.10 Irish Flame.

Race 9 How Now Stakes. This is a strong field of mares. Bella Nipotina was unlucky last start, but that is her. No.4 Le Mexicana was okay last start but she can bounce back. No.6 Chassis was sensational behind a superstar last start and that form is just about the best here. No.9 Geist is racing a better grade here but her last start win was good. I thought No.11 Shaik was well placed here but that barrier is not good for her racing style. No.12 Malicorne looks better placed here than at the valley fresh and No.13 Enchantingly was, well, awesome last start and she can race well in this. No.14 Smokin Val is not hopeless either with form around Beau Rossa. Main bet No.6 Chassis, save on No.9 Geist and No.13 Enchantingly and each way No.12 Malicorne and No.14 Smokin Val.

Best bet: Race 2 No.5 Wisdom Of Water

Each way bet: Race 8 No.13 Amish Boy

Good luck to all investors and your investments!

I'm with you TJ. Either Probabeel of Dice Roll would have been pretty damn good in multis.

Craig Williams (Behemoth) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provision of AR131(a). The careless riding being that near the 250 metres he rode his mount out when not sufficiently clear of Regardsmaree resulting in that gelding being steadied when tightened for room between Behemoth and Sierra Sue. C Williams had his licence to ride in races suspended for a total of ten meetings to commence midnight 25 September, 2021 and to expire midnight 4 October, 2021. (3 metro, 7 provincial). In assessing penalty the Stewards were of the view that the incident qualified for the mid-range category of carelessness and took into account his guilty plea and exceptional record.
