Missed it. Had call from elderly dad having an accident. Remembered as they jumped in cc. Didn't even think of it when the Everest raced as I had just sat down. All ok now.

 Unfortunately I would have had incentivise W and Delphi as toughie in cc
Hadn't decided on Everest. Was tossing up between nature strip and Classique as W and masked crusader as r, so I would have scored ok.

Me either furious, it's amazing the difference an extreme roughie can make where the prizemoney is high.
I went from $10.6 to $21.5 thanks to Persan & Linda but suspect $20mill will remain a figment of my imagination LOL

Just got back gay. Doing a lot better today thanks. He turned 90 2 weeks ago so there's not long left in reality but he looked and sounded a lot more spritely today.

So good to hear Kavg.  My 98 year old mother isn't getting any stronger and has dizzy fits but she still has a twinkle in her eye and it was great to get to visit her last week.  She has a granny flat at my sisters and my sister hates going over first thing in the morning - until she hears the shower.  They are a worry but only because we love them to bits.

He does love the races, albeit on the tv nowadays and with his vision failing he can't use any online devices but keeps him going. Mum is 5 years younger but has early to mid stage Alzheimer's and it is a difficult time, especially during covid as I was the only relative visiting. Some of the others have no sense of obligation and no shame. Ironically I was the child and adult who asked the least from my parents, whereas others were happy to use them as often as possible for food, babysitting etc back in the day.

Only a bit of mindfulness gets me through thinking about this.

A younger sister was very upset when Mum moved in with older sister.  She thought all Mums money going in the granny flat and no inheritance.  But I explained better to do what Mum was happy to do that a nursing home which would of cost everything she had and no joy for her there.  And Anne is chief carer and has all the worry about finding her fallen or worst.  She came around and realised best for Mum who has been very happy out there surrounded by her garden and some of her grandchildren as they grew up.

But yes my sister has all the day to day care.  We only step in if she and her husband have to go out one weekend.  Lets face it - not too often the last two years.

You have it tough.  Before I lost my husband he lost both parents within three years.  Both ended up in a nursing home.  His father had Alzheimer's and Mum with Parkinsons couldn't do the daughter's stairs and we didn't have a spare room at the time.  I think as my husband was retired and his Mum was still at home he spent most days driving from Emu Plains to Gosford and back to Thornleigh to take his Mum to spend the day with her husband.  It was easier when she moved into a self contained unit there.  But very tiring.  So stay strong.

It is hard furious and your mother obviously needs a chief career if not wanting to go to a nursing home, which my parents don't want at this stage.

My issue with siblings is that we all, and our parents live in the south of sydney suburbs, so there is no issue with travel etc.
