Nice win by St Mark's Brasilia in the G1 Coral Eclipse Stakes. Addeybb ran 2nd and Mishriff ran 3rd. That's Aiden O'Brien's first Coral Eclipse Stakes since So You Think in 2011.

Another stakeswinner with an Australian influence was Ocean (3g Exosphere - Tevara, by Compton Place) who won the Gp3 Prix de Ris-Orangis over 6 furlongs at Deauville.

I think he is Exosphere's 3rd stakeswinner after Thermosphere & Exoboom.

The Gp1 Grand Prix de Paris for 3yo C&Fs over 12 furlongs at Longchamp sees Irish Derby winner, Hurricane Lane, taking on Alenquer who looked impressive when winning the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. Also competing are Cheshire Academy & Saiydabad who both ran well in Prix du Jockey Club as well as a number of other promising gallopers.

It's just a shame it is on so late!

The Gp1 Grand Prix de Paris was won by Hurricane Lane (3c Frankel - Gale Force, by Shirocco) who defeated Wordsworth & Alenquer. Hurricane Lane was always travelling like a winner just behind the leader & raced away in the home straight to score by 6 lengths.

No surprises in the Gp1 Irish Oaks which has been won by the long odds on favourite, Snowfall (3f Deep Impact - Best In The World, by Galileo). Daylight second!

The Gp1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 1½ miles at Ascot has been won by Adayar (3c Frankel x Anna Salai, by Dubawi) defeating Mishriff & Love.

Early in the race Adayar was racing very keenly in second place behind the leader, Broome. He took the lead at the top of the home straight & momentarily looked vulnerable when Mishriff challenged him but he fought hard & drew away to win by about 2 lengths. To win like that despite overracing was an outstanding effort. Love was a bit disappointing in 3rd.

There is a heavy track for the Goodwood Cup today & as a result Trueshan is 15/8 compared to Stradivarius 2/1. Spanish Mission third favourite. Last October, Trueshan won the Gp2 Long Distance Cup over 2 miles at Ascot on a wet track. It should be an interesting race.

Stradivarius is a late scratching due to the soft track conditions!

The Gp1 Goodwood Cup over 2 miles has been won by Trueshan (5g  Planteur - Shao Line, by General Holme) by about 4 lengths from Away He Goes & Sir Ron Priestley. The winner was ridden by Hollie Doyle & trained by Alan King. He loves the wet tracks.

The Gp2 Vintage Stakes for 2yos over 7 furlongs was won by Angel Bleu (2c Dark Angel - Cercle De La Vie, by Galileo)

The Gp2 Lennox Stakes over 7 furlongs was won by Kinross  (4g  Kingman - Ceilidh House, by Selkirk).

Trueshan's maternal grandsire, General Holme, was a son of Noholme. Good to see the Aussie champ appearing close-up in the pedigree!

Trueshan is easily the best horse to emerge from this damline in recent times. The only other stakeswinners in his first 4 generations are a couple of Listed winners.

These were his damline details after his success in the Long Distance Cup last October.

Hello,
So far I see "Truesahn" isn't the only European Winner with an "Aussie connection".

If the the ped is correct, the Winner of the "Vintage Stakes" (Gr.2) has an Australian Damline, his Granddam is "Hveger", dam of "Cape of Good Hope"and "Highland Reel" (FB by Galileo).

regards, Ticino

The Gp3 Gordon Stakes for 3yos over 12 furlungs has just been won by Ottoman Emperor  (3c  Excelebration - Ibiza Empress, by Tertullian). This horse races in the ownership of OTI Racing. The Gordon Stakes is often contested by colts on the path to the St Leger. Sixties Icon & Conduit are a couple who have completed that double in recent years while other subsequent G1 winners include Harbinger, Noble Mission, Highland Reel, Ulysses, Crystal Ocean, Mogul & Cross Counter.

Earlier the Gp2 Richmond Stakes for 2yo C&Gs over 6 furlongs was won by Asymmetric (2c  Showcasing - Swirral Edge, by Hellvelyn).

The Gp1 Nassau Stakes over about 10 furlongs for fillies & mares has been won by Lady Bowthorpe  (5m  Nathaniel - Maglietta Fina, by Verglas) defeating Zeyaadah & Joan Of Arc. Lady Bowthorpe has been racing in great form this year & fully deserves success at Gp1 level.

She is a half sister to the smart G2 winning Irish sprinter, Speak In Colours, & is out of a half sister to Tullius who also scored in Gp2 company. These were her damline details after winning the Gp2 Dahlia Stakes in May:-
