Why is it some stud photos end up with the same look for all the yearlings.  Bowness particularly comes to mind.

Well that'll keep you busy, and hopefully limit your time in the Junction.

72 is very interesting.  First it is the by Impending (Juliet female line) from a Fastnet Rock mare.  In the last 10 years or so that cross has proved very strong - in reverse.  Juliet line mares put to Fastnet Rock.  Catchy won a Blue Diamond is one I found in the sales to mark but there have been others also.  And today Rocket Spade (same cross different line of Juliet) won the NZ Derby.  So this one is very interesting.

110 interesting for the same reason.  Juliet line to son of Fastnet Rock.

Well how about that!   Lot 72 is one of the three I've bookmarked at the sale.  The others are Lots 184 and 224 (another Impending).

If he passes X-rays and is a half decent type Lot 22 will surely bring plenty.  Top sire, plenty of black type in the first two removes, plus Nijinsky and Biscay crosses just about where you'd want them.

Really love that 132 also.  I think we have a similar type.  But I'm hopeless at picking leg faults!

163 is double Juliet.  Been tried before with So You Think with so so results.  But the Rolls cross makes it interesting.

Sir Prancelot seems to be throwing a nice type.  Just don't know how his pedigree will mix with the Australian mares.  Very different.

Bowness needs a foot up the rear end for their matings with the dam of Lot 132 imo.  Blind Freddie could see that she'd benefit from more Danehill and Star Kingdom.  At least there's a line of Star Kingdom in Flying Artie a sire that's showing huge promise, but you'd think there were so many better choices for her over the years.

not up to 224 yet.  So many interesting crosses and you can't mark them all so no photo I usually leave out!

Hope you're right Furious.  Sadly their more recent stallions have been underwhelming.

195 is a double Juliet as well Impending over Heart of Tier.  Interesting Show a Heart in the mix.  He is the family of Musket and Juliet line back in the day had some lovely crosses to Musket.  Another one marked to follow.  This is ridiculous too many sales to choose from!

22 the only yearling by Fastnet Rock out of a Canny Lad mare in the Southern Hemisphere

I think I'll stop already have 8 depending on prices to follow.  Because I like the type and they have something interesting in the pedigree.  I know usually my favourite girl!

Shocked  Thanks TJ.  How did you find that out??

Note he's a full sibling to the filly Sneaky Five, and the next dam produced Marwin Gold which has more Biscay and Nijinsky too.

I have not looked at all your list Glencoe, but I really like the look of Lot 25. Nice fillies pedigree and she looks like a big strong filly like Princess Coup was ( unfortunately they did not have yearling photos back then so we could make a good comparison)

The horse is family(5h) from the Dalmary branch. Has only 1 line of Rough Shod through Nureyev who is not too close in the pedigree. Plenty of mares here with Sadlers Wells/Fairy King/Nureyev that suit.

true the mix is just so different.  But his lots look good so that's half the battle.
