So You Think sires his first Adelaide Cup (3200m) winner....Good Idea. This horse ran 2nd in the Adelaide Cup last year, today he goes one better and gets the job done. $10 each way. Very glad for the sire So You Think.

Kayla Crowther.  Not sure what you saw there TJ, thought she rode it an absolute bottler before being unavoidably obliged to pull wide around some who were tiring in tight formation turning for home.

10 out of 10 for BenThompson and Kayla not too far behind imho.

So You Think has proven that a stayer can be a very good sire.  He's having a bottler of a season.

Jamal congratulations if you backed the winner,  Star

However some honest advice: it'd lend more credibility if you tipped before the race, because this is the third time in a row you've recently claimed to have backed the winner of a major event without so much of a mention pre-race.

Just suggesting.

He was not really a stayer was he ?

He was simply a top class racehorse with proper top class racehorse speed.

Shawn 38, whoever Jamal might be he/ she is betting in peanuts so even if they are real bets, you should not worry too much if they like to talk up their winning bets. If I was at all interested in their betting, which I am not, I would prefer to know how much they lose on their losing bets, that might tell a bit more about their overall betting success.
In my experience of losing punters they tended to embellished their wins when compared to their losses.

A stakes double for So You Think, siring the winner of the Group 2 Adelaide Cup (Good Idea) and the Listed Canberra Cup (Mr Marathon Man).

If she pulls up okay do they head to the Andrew Ramsden with Tralee Rose?

Maybe she did not run the 3200m as she had every hope.

Voyager - either she came to the end of her campaign or she didn't stay the 3200m. Maybe it was both.

As for Good Idea...I assume an Adelaide Cup win at Group 2 level wouldn't guarantee him a start in the Melbourne Cup. I assume he will have to win something along the way to get a run in the big 2-miler.

Good to see a Melbourne Cup placegetter (So You Think) sire the Adelaide Cup winner......Good Idea, and it was also good to see a Melbourne Cup winner (Americain) sire the Adelaide Cup runner-up.....Eperdument.

Jamal, although I negatively commented on your punting prowess, I must admit your knowledge of breeding is excellent, leaving me in your wake.If by chance you are involved in the breeding industry you obviously can put that to your advantage, however I doubt , in the long run, it will help your punting. If I recall Dawn Fraser’s brother could not swim.

Either way he should be aimed for it, races on the speed and runs a very strong 3200m should have really been in the finish in last year's Adleaide Cup had a torrid run. That was a super impressive victory, didn't beat too much but beat them well.

I wouldnt say my knowledge of breeding is excellent. I just happened to know that the runner-up in the Adelaide Cup was by Americain. But I appreciate the kind words. Unfortunately I had to put my pet dog (Brocky) to sleep at the vets today, he was riddled with arthritis and the pain medication was losing its effectiveness and we made the difficult decision to put Brocky to sleep. It was the best decision humane wise though but its very very sad saying goodbye to a pet. But Baghdad Bob - your kind words did put a smile on my face on what was a difficult day. I say thank you
