Bred to go 1600m tops mo Sis, however your comment about her structure appears about right.
For better or worse....

Athletic, well muscled forearm, not so much hind legs. Love that she hasn’t been pumped full of calories to promote extra kgs. Common cause of joint problems ie DOD. Long over the loin, just to be picky. Very good leg structure, good through the knee, cannon and fetlock, pretty well put together, looks more like a stayer?
I’m not overly familiar with the breeding.

Great background story there AA. Theirs is a similar story to us: we purchased an aging sister to Savana City (see above pedigree) for just $3,500.
This mare produced two city winners for us including the prematurely deceased Treasury Notes, dam of three times stakes-winner Money Maher. Which almost needless to say is a key reason for us purchasing a share the above filly. |

I see Slots in her pedigree ! Just by the by. Interesting story to her. Blokes we know bought her out of a Patinak dispersal for approx ( all my figures her are approx , so give or take a bit ), $1800 and she hadnt done much. They won almost $300 thousand with her. Sold her to Torryburn for approx $250 thousand. Her first yearling went thru the Gold Coast MM with a reserve of $60.000 and brought $120.000 ( from BAD memory ) this year tho so you can check, right at the end of the sale. And they have bought into it, so lets hope the luck rolls on for them, and you, SC. We all had a great deal of fun and pleasure out of Slots, with race days, wins, etc.

I Like her front and like the fact she is not presented like a stud bull!! can only be a plus for her future. Her hind end is questionable but in saying that I think it is most likely not a true balanced picture. Good luck with her SC very exciting looking at her page.

No opinions, good bad or worse, about the Perth MM filly?
And will one or two suspect, given some of our recent stakes performing home-breds, why we were at all interested in her?

The outstanding galloper Winfreux was no Clarke Gable in the head dept. but his race record and longevity was incredible , not many are about like him today .

It's all relative Take2. For instance, he's got a far more attractive head than you mate.

don't let that detract you from otherwise liking a horse Gay, our boy excelleration, a pic i will post when i figure all that entails, of before (as a late 2yo) and more lately some pics taken of him in racing nick, had a boofy or box head at the age above , but lost the boofiness and has a rather nice head that fits in well with his over 17 hand frame, will put an sos out if i have trouble posting in the meantime, a current pic of him is on the front page of my website the below pic is as an early 3yo

Plus, whilst not wanting to harp on the point, the price of Bitcoin has TRIPLED from the beginning of October - peaking a week before the sale.... how effing convenient for the laundry.

Isn't it funny how a good old fashioned sweep can get you interested in horseracing. My 1st memory of a racehorse was getting a kiwi(?) stayer called Lord Metric in the family and friends Melb Cup sweep. Think it was about '74 or something and i was still in single digits. From there my early recalls were youngun's like Vivarchi, Happy Kitten, Desirable, Market Garden, Cap Dantibes and champs like The King and The Man of course.
To this day the ol man still runs Cup sweeps to induct(or try to) the young grandkids etc into loving racehorses. |

I loved him so much I had a poem published in Racetrack magazine when I was 13 about him. Got him in the sweep for the Melbourne Cup when he first came across from NZ and tried to swap him for Silver Knight but my sister wouldn't be in on it! But he soon won me over. Just couldn't compete with Silver Knight on the looks department. But on the whole a much better horse.

2020 Magic Million sales were a record amount.
This year's sales broke that record by $30 million. What recession ?

Yes I do furious , game as Ned Kelly , there are no " looking " races but the heart was ginormous , a genuine racehorse if ever there was one , old Arthur Didham had before his tragic breakdown in Perth lthough he was with TJ when he broke down , he came back and won by 10 lenghts first up over 2000 mts, never forget him.
