Butter Chicken scratched and running tomorrow at Cranbourne.

Hopefully she is not a plodder as they paid $800k for her.

With a name like Butter Chicken they deserve a plodder and the 800K loss associated with it.

Haha , he put his hand in his pocket and backed his judgement so I wish him well , I have a secrect love affair with the Savabeel fillies up to now LOL so let's see , what's in a name ? I recall many years ago American film star Fred Astaire bought a Star Kingdom colt at the Melbourne sales , months later the trainer rang him and asked for a name , call him anything was the reply , so they did LOL he won a few in Melbourne but never reached the heights of the other shooting stars of the breed.

Jigsaw and Artorius 1st and 2nd in the 2yo at Geelong.  Both appear to possess above average ability.

I have a circular saw, tenon saw and a jigsaw but I'm not sure what a tad saw is. Tongue

I take it Dean is a journalist of some sort? LOL

It's not hard to notice that really good horses tend to have really good names. No Buttered Chooks in the Melbourne Cup winners list. The worst would be duck related - The Quack. Big smile

" Newness " beats her ( not the coat pullers LOL ) half head defeat doing best work late suggests to me her future looks bright. Wink

Racehorse Names are very important to breeders. They give the horse its name and identify it among other horses in the same breed.

The name is given by the breeder after careful consideration of the horse's personality, temperament, and other factors. The name chosen for a horse should be unique and it should describe the horse's personality and character. For example, a horse that is calm, gentle, and friendly would be called a “calm” or a “gentle” horse.

If you have a horse and want to give it a name, you may need to think carefully about what kind of name you want. A good name is important to identify your horse in public places, and to tell people who know horses what type of horse it is.

However, you may not have any ideas about what to call your horse. You may think about a funny name, or something that represents your horse.

Here are some names of racehorses that you can use if you want to give your horse a name.
