The reps have to vote a majority to qualify as an impeachment, hasn't a prayer's chance in hell. But the crazy theatrics in that building are a real worry. As is the fact that thousands of troops are camped there right now.

Biggest measuring stick for Uncle Joe, imo, will be how much time he dedicates to sh**ting on the previous administration in the first half of his tenure.
House elections to come in 2022... he might be better served by getting on with it, rather than giving the opposition a platform. Hence why I think this latest impeachment is a bit strange.

Biden has already said that he was separating the WH and the DOJ after the disastrous behavior of the last Administration.
The DOJ will investigate the actions of members of the previous Administration on their merits and only if crimes were evident, and if there were crooks they will and should be locked up. The oligarchy is over. Merrick Garland said he only accepted the nomination of Attorney General on the provision that he would be able to operate totally independent of the White House, not in collaboration with it.

As we have learned recently, the Russia counter intelligence investigation was never done thanks to Rod Rosenstein taking it off Mueller and letting it die, Biden's DOJ must look at it.

Of course there has to be consequences for what happened on the 6th in Washington ! For the Republican Party and the Conservative side of politics in the USA sake most of all. Mitch McConnell has said this might be the Republicans chance to purge the party of Trumpism and I think it was Mitt Romney who said the best way to heal the country is to tell the people the truth. They’re both right. For 4 years Trump has got away with his lies and incompetence because everyone was saying “It’s just Trump being Trump” Hahaha! Or they were so cowered by his bullying Tweets or so eager to exploit his followers for their own ambition that they all went along with it. The result has been what is increasingly looking like a violent attempted coup. Biden has to investigate it thoroughly and throw the guilty in jail. And if one of them is Trump I think the world will cheer.
