Maybe he’s taken the top weight (Play on Words) in the last to round out the day?

SC, If I had bet following the wins of Mask Up and Written Advice, how could I back anything other than Play On Words, all equally applicable to Dan Andrews.

Dan the untouchable: Why scandal fails to trouble the PremierFor those outside Victoria, Dan Andrews might appear to be a leader in deep trouble. The Premier had insisted that a short, sharp lockdown would save Victoria from Sydney’s case numbers, yet Victoria’s daily figures have surpassed those seen in any other state during the pandemic, landing just shy of 2000 on Saturday. Sydney dramatically lifts lockdown restrictions on Monday, while Victoria is weeks behind with tougher rules to stay even when the state hits its vaccination targets. more... |

Come on PT, you have fallen for an opinion piece in The Age, those within Victoria , know he is in trouble.

It was a very fair article Bob, you should give it a read. Contained plenty of warts and all comment about Andrews including adverse comment from within his own party.
That's what The Age does, as very distinct from the Hun.

The whole article could have been written in 3 sentences:
Dan is a slippery, autocratic politician. He's not well liked by those who know him. Many Victorians are dumb enough to want a "footy coach" as their leader. Done. Duh. |

PT, I do not think Dan should count his chickens before they hatch. Adem Somyurek, the former minister in the Andrews government who was sacked and expelled from the ALP last year, was a Labor powerbroker has nothing to lose if he spills the beans when he is called up by IBAC.
If anyone knows where the political bodies inside Labor are buried, it's him. He has plenty of scores to settle and could blow the lid on a culture of corruption. He has, not only Dan, but other senior and long -serving ministers, in his firing line.

20% for School Teachers is minimum I would expect .
You do know there are many billions to be raised as the penalty for getting this virus reactions , ALL Wrong . I did warn long ago that we faced an attack on our savings and the people will pay for the Bad Governments. INFLATION is the licence to steal your money and when yo see things like some bread at $7 a loaf and chicken pieces from $8 to $14 overnight , Be prepared . Look at Rents and House prices and that can only worsen . Get ready for the flood of Migrants they will need to sustain some growth and realise the pain from lockdownns and giving money away , has not yet started. The Foreclosures , Protected tenants and the easy money dries up shortly , Watch the Homeless and the poor --- Really do it tough. |

And he's standing there right now saying Vic had been "an outstanding success." I seriously wonder if he's sociopathic, he's so in lalaland, so callous and so lacking in honesty and compassion.

As a politician, yes.
His press conferences remind me of a guy on a tennis court showing off all his skills and trickshots as a ball machine shoots balls at him. The pr*ck absolutely loves it. |

I must say , on behalf of Dan , He is dealing with the worst conditions in Australia , in that he has climate condition and congested people pockets ,That these Virus thrive in.
The big mistake all round is not being quick to grasp , That the virus is here to stay and live with it . Not throw our whole Bank at trying to beat what is , "Nature's Way". Half the casualties among the elderly in Vic. are probably the weather. |

The inconsistency is the problem . Once the virus gets moving the weather is less important, I would GUESS.
There has to be a reason for Melbourne having terrible numbers , compared to Sydney. I find it hard to believe it is because of Dan, only . Blame him for the economy destruction, but not the virus and the death rates. Has to be something there , probably "so obvious ". MELBOURNE = In winter, average temperatures range from 6.5 - 14.2°C (43.7 - 57.6°F), and snow falls in the north-east of Victoria, known as High Country. The weather is frequently cold and cloudy, and nights can be accompanied by frosts. Heavy rain is rare at this time of year |

SUTTON CLEARED: The I Cook Foods Inquiry has cleared Brett Sutton, who had been accused by an aggrieved party of inappropriately signing an order to close the business without authorisation. That claim was found to be incorrect and the closure was by the book.
