The city has already accepted fault, settling US$27m with the Floyd family. Should be a formality to get a result.

The actual Fox News is covering it extensively, not sure about the after dark nutters. I think they are too preoccupied with attacking Biden and Fauci and defending the great man's COVID catastrophe.
Devastating day today in court with the Minneapolis chief of police on the stand most of the day as well as the doctor who ''treated'' Mr. Floyd on his arrival at hospital. The defense case is based on Floyd being a drug user with health problems but the doctor said there was no mention of drugs on Floyd's arrival.

Anyway, back on topic, on day 7 of the prosecution case, they had a specialist LA police sergeant/former marine giving evidence on appropriateness of force who testified excessive use was in this case.
Also the Minneapolis police medical coordinator testifying on the level of training police have to respond to medical situations. Also a Minneapolis police trainer in use of force in restraint who testified that the technique Chauvin used was not authorised.

The defense is expected to begin it's presentation tomorrow after another really bad day for them. 11 days of prosecution presentation and the defense is expected to only take 3 days, taking Friday off and closing arguments next Monday.

Expert witness, a federal expert on use of force in policing said the Chauvin force used was excessive unnecessary and not policy, and it was cause of death. Defense tried cross examining him with tricky ''what if'' questions to try to create some doubt the defense could stand on. He kept pushing back and responding with a lot of no's and requesting clarifications, frustrating the defense attorney, who finally gave up.

Both the defense and prosecution rested their cases today after 2 short disastrous days of defense testimony. Chauvin chose to invoke his 5th Amendment rights and will not take the stand. Both sides will present their closing arguments on Monday and the jury will be locked away till they come up with a verdict.

You are confusing me with AA who asked that question, some days ago, my request is to your criticism the defence's submissions overnight, not about some days prior.

The defense spent only 2 part days on witnesses, and put most of their eggs in the one basket of a paid witness who spent most of a day giving opinions on subjects he wasn't a specialist in including spending an hour trying to put doubt in the jury's mind with a suggestion that Floyd may have died of carbon monoxide poisoning lying on the road.
Today the prosecution tried to enter a coroner's report that gave his oxygen level at 98%, blowing that out of the water. The judge refused to allow it so the prosecution brought back a specialist witness who stated the 98% fact that he had seen on the same report. He was the only witness today.

This witness was giving opinions on Floyd possibly dying from heart failure or respiratory issues exacerbated by drug use.
Prosecutor: Are you a heart specialist? No. Are you a pulmonary expert? No. Prosecutor: Thanks for coming.

You would think there will be a guilty charge of some sorts , manslaughter is my guess as hard to prove he was thinking of killing Floyd ,none the less an innocent verdict or mistrial will end up in a massive riot no doubt with lots of more innocent parties counting the cost of this horrible incident .

Look, the whole thing is a farce.
Police are trained to perform particular restraining moves. Putting aside that Floyd is a loser, here are the basic facts. 1; He was not resisting arrest. 2: He alarmed police very early that he was having trouble breathing, even while in the car. 3: It is now a MEDICAL emergency, first and foremost, as he posed zero physical threat to anyone nearby, was not resisting and was easily apprehended by other officers. When losers go into hospital, totally drugged up, my friend doesnt judge them, she saves them. They go in as souls, not as people. In a medical emergency, its not about judging, its about saving the person, saving their life, saving their soul. George Floyd was murdered. Then Marxists came on in and hijacked the whole movement and concerns that actually matter. America is falling apart and crime is skyrocketing with Biden. The cop is guilty of murder, end of story. They do a very very hard job and its actually amazing they dont get it wrong more often. This was a time they got it wrong. It was a medical emergency above a crime emergency, end of story.

If convicted I think second degree murder would likely be stretch, third degree most likely.

The closing arguments from defense was a farce. Went on way too long and the jurors were hanging their heads and nodding off. The judge called a halt for a break for the jurors.
I think they are banking on a mistrial if found guilty, with arguments for mistrial put forward today. Another possibility if found guilty is for Chauvin to get a new lawyer and appeal for a retrial on incompetent counsel.

It suits the Marxism movement if he is found Not Guilty.
Will create more chaos and division, which is precisely what Marxists want. So dont be at all surprised if he is found not guilty. Personally, I think every cop there that day, is guilty. Floyd was already restrained, not resisting, it was a medical emergency. They had to action a priority much faster to actually save his life. They did not do that.

The other 3 police will face trial in August on aiding and abetting the 2nd degree murder and 2nd degree manslaughter Chauvin has been found guilty of.
