Besides , The Virus has it's good side for some Age Care facilities .
There is one in ORANGE NSW 2800 is starting up a retail business of selling Masks . I would have thought Their Staff would have more to do than involving themselves in such activities . Creating contacts and exchanging monies is a health hazard , in itself . I'm sure Current Affairs will tell us more in coming days .. Watch This Space. |

More than 25% of countries' first coronavirus cases came from ItalyMore than a quarter of coronavirus-hit countries outside mainland China reported their first Covid-19 case in people who had recently travelled to Italy, research suggests. Of the 99 countries identified by researchers as being affected in the 11 weeks before the global pandemic was declared, almost two thirds of the first cases were linked to travel to Italy (27 percent), China (22 percent), or Iran (11 percent), the study said. The findings, published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, suggest travel from a small number of countries with substantial transmission of the virus may have caused additional outbreaks around the world, one of the research leaders said. It comes after CDC director Dr Robert Redfield finally admitted that the US was slow to recognize the coronavirus threat travel from Europe posed to the US, and that the Trump administration's decision to ban visitors from nations including Ital came too late to stop the 'large seeding' of the virus that came from there. Provided by Daily Mail Of countries where the first known case of coronavirus was someone with a known travel history, patient zero from nearly two-thirds of nations had been to Italy (yellow), while only 22% had been to China (green) and 11% had been to Iran (red), CDC scientists foundThe study, by researchers from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention in the US, identified Covid-19 cases reported between December 31 last year through to March 10 - the day before the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the pandemic. The CDC used official websites, press releases, press conference transcripts, and social media feeds of national ministries of health or other government agencies to gather their data. By March 10, they said 99 countries and locations outside mainland China had reported cases of Covid-19, and 75 of those identified their first reported case in an individual with history of travel to a country which had at least one case. Dr Fatimah Dawood, from the CDC, said: "Our findings suggest that travel from just a few countries with substantial Sars-CoV-2 transmission may have seeded additional outbreaks around the world before the characterisation of Covid-19 as a pandemic on March 11, 2020." Researchers also looked at cluster frequencies and sizes by transmission settings, and found that while there were clusters of household transmission among early cases, those in occupational or community settings tended to be larger.https://www.msn.com/en-au/health/medical/more-than-25percent-of-countries-first-coronavirus-cases-came-from-italy/ar-BB17nPQ1 |

Your views on age care is probably the ones you can see. They are admitted as Lodgers / Rssidents who come and go at their pleasure , Go Shopping and are purely "ratting" the system for these private tax free , not for profit thieves. Not under any detention and should not be entitled to the massive Government subsidies. I'm talking the BULK .... The out of sight = out of mind . In need of the hands on care and assistance .. Unable to be managed at home and usually in an advanced stage of the Final Stages of life . Demented , difficult , sad and rapidly deteriorating to Palliative stages. Over 5000 a month die there. -------------- just over 80 per cent of permanent RACF residents die there (about 60 000 people per year) (AIHW 2017g). |

When the outbreak of COVID 19 in quarantine
hotels No one lives forever, but we expect
the elderly in our community to be able to see out their twilight days with
some dignity and companionship. So it was with our good neighbour Theo. A familiar figure in our suburban Moonee
Ponds street for the decade we overlapped, Theo was the kindly older
Greek gentleman from two doors down. Chloe and I and the kids would yell out
Yassou to him in our bad Strayan version of Greek, and he would smile
encouragingly. What I didnt expect was the authorities sent
into these facilities or the federal government to entirely lose track of their
residents. Adding insult to injury, on Sunday, the day
after the family learnt he had passed away, a federal government representative
told the family Theo was OK. This is a horrifying insight into the
shambles of the federal governments intervention at St Basils. And it wont
be isolated. More revelations of the federal governments
dangerous hamfistedness in aged care are emerging each day. Where are the for-profit private operators in
the aged-care industry who are happy to turn a pretty dollar in easier times? Where is the professional response from the
federal government? Must service cuts always go deep into bone
before someone declares an emergency and reaches for more than the Band-Aids? The Prime Minister wants to delegate the tough decisions of the pandemic to the various state premiers. In some cases, this is appropriate. But aged care is a federal responsibility, and one that has been neglected for years. Hang on Bill, although undoubtedly the
federal government must share some of the blame for the mounting positives and
deaths in Aged Care the Andrews government health department has stuffed up big time. On
July15th Brendan Murphy. the federal health
department secretary, asked a senior official in the Victorian health
department as to why Victoria had not suspended non essential elective
surgeries to free up hospital beds for infected age-care residents because at
that time 80 people in nursing homes already were infected and the situation had
become really critical . No action was taken . Now 15 days later 1034 active cases are
linked to aged care of which 549 healthcare workers are infected
and the Andrews government finally has suspended that non essential elective surgery but the horse has bolted. I might remind Bill Shorten the initial outbreak
of the virus was entirely due to the Andrews governments mismanagement of the
security over quarantining of returning travelers in hotels . Shorten
said nothing . Why? Because it was all due to an ALP state government in the firing
line now he has the hide to call out the federal government for political gain.

The cruise ships don't support that argument, the plentiful victims were not "on their last legs".

Max Please ... They were mainly aged people on a cruise ... Cooped up in recycled air and being hands on reliable on infected staff ..
The statistics show the most vulnerable are the aged , no matter where they are . I'm as Scared as the next one actually ... My son got a verbal from me 2 days ago ... His wife a frontline Nurse and he is very careless I felt. Another Friend on Northern Beaches of Sydney , for testing today --- His wife Night Nurse in a Private Hospital .. He went down with a COPD episode yesterday. |

It is like bacterial pneumonia is the pre-antibiotic times, it hits the old and the infirm, and without effective counters, deadly to the vulnerable. One wonders how many victims were long term smokers.

Plenty of things will kill virus "in vitro", but "in vivo", the killing might include the host.

Correct AA.. Virus don't respond to conventional anti bodes.
Many things will kill a virus but will also kill the Host . You can' do much about lack of common sense ... My friend has been tested this morning ... His wife a nurse went to work last night and I have just advised him that they will be in big trouble if they aren't careful .. They are Nurses HOW BLUDDY STUPID. Just had a Phone call ..thanking me for drawing to the Managements attention , the stupidity of retailing face masks from the Age care unit. Job well done . They are not going to proceed with that line . Ascot Gardens Orange NSW 2800. (0263627820) ABN 71050057620 |

Maybe they could do something with the disinfectant, and is there a way we can do something with an injection inside, almost like a cleaning.

Why do you think they have these test trials . the chemicals are so potent it's a test on how much they can take ... and fools volunteer to be guinea pigs for idiots .
I'll take their new crap when they do a taste test for me . YOU ARE ALL BEING FOOLED BY THESE MEDICAL PROMISES -- Won't happen. Concentrate on the 50 million who will be infected by Syphilis this year. |

The first thing I thought when I saw and read about them was how does a 19yo school cleaner afford all that surgery and travel. Also goes to show that the Kardashians, Nicky Minaj, the Love Island types etc are the equivalent of these trashy wh*res. And women who follow their fashions and lifestyle are no better. They're not "empowered" - they're lobotomised slaves.

Totally awful. You wonder what other than the faces, and presumably the mammaries, had been surgically enhanced.
