Exactly. No one is taking it seriously because they know the penalties wont be enforced. Get some real penalties in place and make them stick. Enforce them to the max. And closed borders mean just that. If you are on the wrong side when the border gets shut,,,stiff gelati. You stay there or quarantine at your own cost.

That is the point I too was making..... I didn't mention any specific area , I mean all of us everywhere. Authority can work when enforced. I've stated I have been angry with my own , for ( what I see) as inconsiderate acts . ( with my own well being at stake ) One Son decides to stay with me , during his own period of an illness of concern 9 While backward and forward to every Pathology and Medical Centre in The area ... Another has Nursing wife , who creates a risk . Nurses like any other worker, keep going for the very reason , That they need the work as much as the millions being destroyed by over reaction. What makes a Nurse more value than a check out chick , delivery Driver , The garbage men .. School teacher, secretaries on Age Care /Hospital desks . etc etc . ( If you get the picture ) |

Macca will like this - Andrews just called covid "the biggest challenge - perhaps ever - we've ever faced."
A f*cking policed curfew coming up from 8pm tonight!! Thanks Dan and his idiot crew. And he's only giving orders about work rules tomorrow. When they've figured it out. Amazing to think that a few months ago I was peed off that he was letting the GP happen. Crazy times. What happens if this doesn't work??

Never forget re Hotel Quarantine. Three medical experts will be called as witnesses and are expected to reveal almost all of Victoria's second wave can be attributed to the bungled scheme. |

Gotta say, I knew the first lockdown was a practice drill for Winter. They learned during the practice drill that a lot of people in Vic are spoiled, selfish tw*ts, and nanny nagging will be ignored.
Having vented my spleen, let's face it - nobody anywhere so far has been prepared for this. I'll try not to say China was.

The first lockdown was actually working. They learned during the practice drill that a lot of people in Vic government are spoiled, selfish tw*ts that will put mates in charge of things instead of calling in the authorities.

He's doing a great job ... Thousands have benefited from the natural vaccination....... It will be open House shortly .. The purse strings won't cope with it for much longer.
Which reminds me .... 3500 Australians have died since this time last week. Most of them were over 70 and Age care Residents ... Surprise. |

Une debacle diabolique, but I guess it is a story all too common across the globe, Montenegro thought they had got rid of it, but it came back in force.

Did I hear yesterday that police in Vic were door knocking homes of people known to be infected and in self quarantine? The upshot was that around 1 in four were NOT home! Disgraceful.

Needs serious punishment of offenders, to turn this around, otherwise it will spiral into disaster.

People are rattled and the differences of opinions are getting quite Hostile... Why do we take as gospel , the wild misleading lectures from
, people of self interest. Experts is a loose description . I give up after today with a lecture on the magical Power of "Paramedics" . A new and more acceptable term for the AMBO..... Wonderful people who do a great job .... But don't get carried away. Their usual training is about 12 / 18 months ---- About the same as an Enrolled Nurse ------- and like most part trained in medicine they are entitled to go on to become Brain Surgeons ---- So can Wally Lewis. |

I have been reliably informed that Fines Victoria, another hopeless Andrews state government authority. that follows up unpaid fines is two to three years behind in chasing up fines. Most of those fines are never paid as many of the people fined can never be located as many are iterates and move around all over the place.
If one wanted to defy the 8pm to 5am curfew and were on the dole, homeless or just defiant the chances of having to pay the fine are negligible as after three years you most likely to be untraceable.

The modern libertine attitude, is not serving the societies well, that have adopted or encouraged it, in this crisis. Little surprise the Chinese got on top of this, while we are dicking around with honour systems, and self-monitoring. That fails.

I just think there are a lot of selfish people out there who dont give a cuss about others. Look how well lockdown worked in the beginning. Now, no one cares. And why ? Because the punishment doesnt work. No one will pay those fines and nothing will happen to them. If they go check a house and the person isnt there,,,,when they come home , lock them up ,,,,chuck them in the big jail for 2 weeks, and if they last, let them out again.

This is like war, certainly in terms of treasure lost, if not lives, so far, for Australia, but already both in many cases, of countries OS, being soft on non-compliance, is tantamount to treason.

Meanwhile Sco mo is silly enough to be talking about banning Tik-Tok. You worry about quelling this break-out, fella, or the long-suffering public who have toed the line, will turn. What a goose, to line up behind that fraud Trump.
