I see the latest news poll had Dan Andrews' popularity at 67% which although down from the last poll is about double what you would expect if you were listening to BB

2ic can you not remember what your post was about ? This might help you out...nothing there about drop kicks 'Andrew Bolt's Herald Sun Labor bashing article won't be published until early tomorrow morning. Bob's posts will presumably be delayed accordingly. Unless of course he tunes in to tonight's Fox News. " |

Andrews is falling out of bed quicker than Usain Bolt could run 100 metres. In late April those Victorians polled gave him a net satisfactory rate of 58%, in the past week it has plummeted to 40%. In late April that same cohort rated his handling of COVID-19 as 85%, in the past week that has plummeted to 72%. Since that polling the positive outbreaks in those northern suburbs have blown out, that will not help Andrew's popularity.Give him another month and let's see how he rates.

What hope does anyone have when all this "hoop-La" is being enacted over a situation that has = ONE BED" occupied throughout Australia in ICU..
Butt out and face the inevitable fact, that you can't destroy the place, over such manageable numbers. Put the positives into infectious isolation and educate the vulnerable. Then to Macca's for a feed , the Pub for a beer on the way to the Opera. |

feed pub opera sounds good Macca - but better to be over cautious with this bug. Just watched ABC about Swedens approach - like business as usual but practise social distancing and wash your hands.
they are now dropping like flies with only 7% immunity |

Very small population and will come out of it financially better than most.
Their welfare bill reduced and far less GP gouging. |

Authorities in Melbourne yesterday had those 1000 refusals for virus testing in only two suburbs. Overnight Andrews has named 10 municipalities that face lockdowns, within those municipalities there are 30 suburbs, if 1000 refuse in those other suburbs, can you imagine how many drop kicks live in those suburbs.
BTW all the federal and state seats in parliament are blue ribbon ALP seats.

What are their reasons for not doing the tests? I’ve been struck down with a cold/flu since yesterday and wandered off to get tested this morning........what’s the foxing drama?

Just a guess but for many in those suburbs it would be about not wanting to be blocked from large family gatherings and/or not wanting to lose work.

Get used to a very probable happening ... Disease of one or more types will eventually destroy totally or emaciate Human Life .
My fear is Man is slowly catering for the families of diseases that have not been kind to us in the past , But are gradually overcoming our advances in limiting them , living with them , but not realising how serious they may become. Our greatest killers lurk in wait... We don't treat them seriously, or the NO vote would have been 99%. Tuberculosis , who cares , but an outbreak in 2015 killed 1.8 million. Has killed over a Billion people. Since Australia was settled. Still living on and vaccines aren't real effective in adults. Smallpox --- We all know about as the 2nd big killer BUT variola virus controversially remains, kept secure in laboratories in Russia and the US. Concern has emerged about the prospect of smallpox as a weapon of bioterrorism. The impact of such an event could be devastating, given people are no longer routinely immunised against smallpox. HIV/AIDS .. few know the truths of this ghastly disease or no one would have voted YES.---- To date it has killed 40 million and as many are still infected and love Gay rights. .. This one will explode again , sooner than we think. Malaria also tests the Medical Science . No closer to stopping it than they were 500 years ago. Seasonal Flu . We are dealing with an outbreak now = Good Luck. Kills 3 million a year but always good for a sickie. Enjoy life , while you can , as the nasties are after you . |

There are plenty of drop-kicks who vote for the ALP, SC. Also plenty who vote against the ALP. There is no established scientific basis, for predicting drop-kick vote allocation. So I would not be too worried about what BB says about it.

Carioca, people who show steadfast loyalty to a particular political party, come what may, have at least the virtue of loyalty, they are not fickle in their allegiance, but whether they can answer to the description of "intelligent", is rather less certain.

Victorians in coronavirus hot spots will face six months’ jail and a $11,000 fine if they enter New South Wales, NSW Health authorities have warned. As cases in Victoria rise, NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said residents from Victorian hot spots are “not welcome” in NSW and face an $11,000 fine and six months in prison. Mr Hazzard added that any NSW residents who visit Victorian hot spots will also be liable for $11,000 fines and a prison stint. “Certainly the Victorian situation should be taken very seriously by everyone in NSW. The particular suburbs that have been announced by the Victorian government, must be avoided,” he said. “You will be liable to the same penalties as any Victorian. But if you choose to go there and come back you have to isolate for 14 days and if you breach there can be an up to 11,000 fine and 6 months jail. “Victorian’s right now from those hot spots are not welcome in NSW. We are sorry. If you come to NSW you will he exposed to the possibility of 6 months jail and $11,000 fines.” |

Surprisingly, Scott Morrison went into bat for Daniel Andrews overnight. Morrison said that Melbourne & Sydney had carried the can for all of the other states in accepting incoming overseas Australians into quarantine in hotels and that both the Victorian and NSW taxpayers will pick up the tab.
Morrison diplomatically, was silent in supporting Andrews in his government's mismanagement of the policing of security protocols at those two, now infamous, hotels.
I read more into what Morrison did not say that what he actually said. |

Obviously the planes from OS landed in those cities, in the main, so it has created an artificially high positives number for them.
