I will be surprised if Trump wins more than 15 states or gets within 6 million votes of Biden. That will nearly get him an electoral college win. Christ the Yankee system is rooted.Thumbs Down

President Donald Trump is eyeing another unproven coronavirus “cure,” at the recommendation of Housing and Urban Development Sec. Ben Carson, Axios reported Sunday.

Oleandrin – a botanical extract from the oleander plant – was suggested to the president by Carson in a meeting in the Oval Office in July, according to the Axios report.

MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell, who’s known to be well-connected with the president, also expressed support for the experimental extract. Lindell also has a financial stake in the company developing the oleandrin product, Phoenix Biotechnology.

Lindell told Axios that Trump “basically said: …’The FDA should be approving it,'” regarding oleandrin as a potential treatment for the coronavirus.

With the help of Lindell, Andrew Whitney, an executive at Phoenix Biotechnology, personally met with the president to discuss the medical effects of oleandrin, The Washington Post reported earlier this month.

In an interview with Axios, Whitney said he stood by his claim that oleandrin “cured” COVID-19 in a span of two days, and he is actively pushing for the botanical extract to make it to shelves – even as a dietary supplement instead of an approved coronavirus treatment to speed up its distribution.

CNN Poll of Polls: Biden holds a nine-point lead over Trump ahead of the party conventions

By Jennifer Agiesta and Devan Cole, CNNWashington (CNN)Former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump by a nine-point margin nationally, according to a CNN Poll of Polls on the general election matchup released Monday.

Biden, who is set to accept the Democratic nomination later this week, is backed by 51% of registered voters nationwide, while 42% support Trump.
The CNN poll conducted by SSRS released Sunday found Biden with 50% support and Trump at 46%. When averaged with other recent polls which showed lower support for Trump, the Poll of Polls yields a larger margin.
    The Poll of Polls includes the six most recent national telephone polls measuring the views of registered voters. Only two of the six included polls were conducted entirely after Biden announced California Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate.
    The polls conducted after Biden's historic selection of Harris as his running mate largely find the pick to be received positively by the public: 52% of registered voters in CNN's poll called it an excellent or pretty good pick, including 82% of Democrats.
    In the Washington Post/ABC News poll, 54% of Americans said they approved of Biden's choice of Harris, with 86% of Democrats approving of the pick.
