Found a very hard race tonight for his second start. Carries the same weight as those that have run very respectably in group company.

He may have been flattered by the damp conditions on debut but gee he looked good.

Far too short in the market, Absolutely no value but worth keeping an eye on for the future.

Just to keep this in the forefront for those who like these pages. His form looked pretty good there in a round about kind of way.

His 3 start spring campaign was really promising.

Definately a horse I’m looking forward to with great anticipation in the Autumn.

Has the sire had many opportunities? ... always liked him as a racehorse.
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

Reckon next year Puissance de Lune will be standing closer to $20,000. I think he is doing quite a good job.

One of Australia’s most exciting three-year-olds will remain in Australia after his owners knocked back a $1.6 million overseas offers for their untapped colt.

Heart Of Puissance has been the subject of multiple seven-figure offers since the Sandown Guineas, but his owners have elected not to sell.

A $40,000 buy at last year’s Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, the son of Puissance de Lune is raced predominantly by owners with small percentages or syndicates and co-trainer Ciaron Maher backed their decision not to sell.

“There were some offers floating around but probably not enough for where he’s at,” Maher said on Wednesday morning.

“I’ve sold horses in the past for more than the offers (for him) and I think he’s probably got similar or more ability.

Heart Of Puissance has raced just three times for wins at his first two starts before a meritorious third in the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m), when beaten just half a length.

His first major target next campaign is likely to be the Group 1 Australian Guineas at Flemington on February 29 with the main aim to maximise his appeal as a potential stud prospect.

“He just finished his spell and returned to work this week,” Maher said.

“He’ll probably go to the Australian Guineas and then up to Sydney. There’s a couple of Guineas up there

“He looks like he’ll stretch out (in distance), but obviously if he can win over shorter it makes him more valuable.”

This is what comes up when I match our mare to PDL on Goldmine. We’ve bred her to a middle distance G1 stallion, and a Group sprinter, both foals still to race. I would be interested to put her to a stayer next, but hubby not keen to breed again as we are so tied to home when they are here. What does TBV think of this?

The complicating factor is that G1 goldmine really only identifies stallions in its generational success stats, plus the vast majority of the horses mentioned in this report are NH performed.

It would be more than interesting to see how the mating rates on the other pedigree match databases.

Rather than clutter up this thread, I can send you a heap of reports via email if you PM it to me.
TP leaves it up to the user to decide merits or otherwise. I can do the 8gens chart but only in HTML.
For now, click to enlarge then Zoom.

I’m happy to have them or some of them on this thread. Very happy with the two foals we have, but keen to explore this avenue as well. Intriguing to see what eventuates from three such different sires. If we go again, the mare would have to go away on some sort of lease or foal deal. Just so we can travel around a bit and not be anchored to home.
Vic best option as more staying opportunities?

One of my mares was also a perfect match.   PDL might be one of those stallions compatible with many mares & thus has a greater chance of succeeding despite limited opportunities

Been offered over a million for HOP, he cost $40,000. Owners have knocked it back, want to keep him (for now)

Resumes in the last at Sandown 1500m

The owners have got to be thinking about that $1.6m offer as he goes around.

Hmm have had a stupidly big bet (for me) on this one, but looks like no hope the way the track is playing. I'll put the up now.
