I know it’s an oxymoron and all, however this meeting all the head honchos are having re integrity and such, Mr Matt Rudolph is mentioned. Is this the same bloke that was disqualified by the ATC? And, not allowed on a racecourse? Where does he fit in?

Hows this a ban of 7yrs and what he has done but can still go to a TTC Special Meeting and vote Wtf THE END IS NIGH FOR RACING IN TOOWOOMBA Well it sure as hell is if Racing Queensland along with members of the Toowoomba Turf Club don’t take control and show Woodford, Gee and Odgers the door. What a bloody farce!! How in god's name was Ben Currie allowed to vote for his father at last Thursday’s TTC Special Meeting considering he is 7.5 years disqualified & facing criminal charges? How were persons allowed into the meeting last week without producing identification at the members register when signing in? Considering the heated circumstances surrounding this meeting, surely the highly paid TTC CEO Blair Odgers & Chairman Kent Woodford should have had their ducks all in a row. How on earth can a disqualified racing participant facing criminal charges be allowed to vote, let alone for his father that is currently training under a restricted license after pleading guilty to raceday treatments and training in partnership with his disgraced son. Ben Currie can’t set foot on the TTC licensed premises yet can vote on such a serious racing and community matter, WTF. The Chairman & CEO need to explain these clear management and constitutional failures as with the final decision being that close, the result is clearly tainted. Woodford & Gee have now rushed to have the AGM brought forward in an attempt to sure up their position not only on the Committee but to prevent a re-vote taking place. All of the Committee along with the CEO should stand down with RQ bringing in an interim administration. From all reports the meeting was a shambles, an absolute disgrace with personal attacks from individuals, left, right and centre. Former Deputy Chairman Ken Bullen confirmed this in an ABC interview last Monday morning. Committee member Lisa Frappell was treated disgustingly by a Currie supporter with no support from the Chair. At no stage did the Chairman Kent Woodford “call to order” to end the unnecessary personal attacks and heckling by Currie supporters. If this is the way the Chairman Kent Woodford conducts a meeting then he is clearly not up to the job. With his conflict of interest along with the remaining committee member Allan Gee, (that is once Kent is finished drinking with the Currie Clan & Allan is finished mucking out Currie boxes), both should be forced by RQ (with the support of the TTC membership) to resign effective immediately. Last Thursday’s meeting should be declared null & void, the details conveyed to the Office of Fair Trading and a new meeting convened under an independent arbitrator. And this time have it done by the book!! David Silver The Last Stride |

WOW. All the time, costs and resources taken away from what is already a struggling jurisdiction, all comes back to a cheating Dad & Son. It’s a pity jail time isn’t standard procedure. PLEASE refrain from quoting what's immediately above! WE can all read & many have posted as to its' annoyance. Edited by Gay3 - 05 Jul 2019 at 10:41pm |

This is staggering if proven.
A multiple premiership winning trainer allegedly entered the stables of a Group 1 winning trainer recently, and administered treatment to a horse without the trainers knowledge. This will be a career ending action if proven. Major effort underway to cover this up, as Qld racing doesn’t need any more bad publicity. Will update as it goes further. |

Leading Brisbane jockey stood down by stewards yesterday. Wonder why? Random testing seems to be making a few take notice.

Senior Brisbane riders Matt McGillivray and Dale Smith will remain sidelined after an inquiry into their failure to give urine samples at Eagle Farm. Stewards stood the pair down on Saturday and ordered them to provide samples at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday and then front an inquiry on Monday. Both cited dehydration from wasting and drinking minimal fluids and asked for blood tests to be taken but that option is not available to stewards. Tests were carried out on all jockeys at Saturday’s Eagle Farm meeting but McGillivray and Smith were unable to provide samples even after stewards gave them until 7pm. They both produced samples on Sunday. Chief steward Peter Chadwick said Monday’s Inquiry determined both jockeys would remain stood down until the analyst’s results were returned from Sunday’s tests. It is understood the test results should be known by the end of the week. Chadwick said Saturday’s testing was part of a QRIC operation with all jockeys riding at Eagle Farm directed to provide samples within an hour of their last ride. QRIC Integrity Investigations Team and stewards conducted further testing of riders at Eagle Farm and Doomben trackwork on Monday morning. Chadwick said as a result of the operation four riders were found to be unlicensed. Eighteen samples were sent to Racing Analytical Services Limited and two samples taken on Monday will be subject to further testing but no riders were stood down. |

Laugh all you like but wasting basically only rids you of water weight and at the end of the day of rides they have a valid point... Racing are amateurs- WADA ply athletes with fluids until they urinate (no matter how long it takes not just a paltry few hrs- think of marathon runners etc) or just sample blood... |

Fair point Skippy. Having been ASADA tested on four or five occasions following League matches, I know how difficult this process can be. On my first test, it took over four hours to provide a sample. At no point did ASADA say "it's getting a bit late, let's come back tomorrow".

Stewards meanwhile, will open an inquiry into a sample irregularity from former champion apprentice Tiffani Brooker. Queensland Racing Integrity Commission commissioner, Ross Barnett, said the irregularity was discovered in a sample from Brooker after Integrity officers conducted tests at the Sunshine Coast on August 11. "Stewards will conduct the inquiry on Thursday," he said. Brooker is on the comeback trail from injury but has not ridden in a race since August 11. |

from punters.com.au
Qld trainer banned for sample substitution 9 hours ago by AAP Gold Coast trainer Brad Witt has been disqualified for 12 months for substituting his urine sample during an integrity unit raid at the weekend. Witt fronted a stewards' inquiry on Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to swapping someone else's urine sample for his own at the Gold Coast track last Saturday. The inquiry heard Witt was riding trackwork when directed to provide a urine sample which he allegedly substituted. Stewards said they took into account Witt's guilty plea, forthright evidence, his personal circumstances, disciplinary history and penalty precedents. He was disqualified for 12 months to start on September 25 which would allow Witt to make arrangements for his horses. Queensland Racing Integrity Commission officers have held snap drug and alcohol checks at meetings and trackwork across the state in the past month. |

Stewards Report: Tiffani Brooker Date: 19 September 2019
Panel: D Aurisch, J Williamson & C Albrecht Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) Stewards today concluded an inquiry into a report from the analyst that a urine sample provided by licensed Jockey Tiffani Brooker at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club on 11 August 2019 contained the prohibited substances Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Oxazepam, Nordiapazem, Temazepam, Ketamine, Norketamine and Dehydroketamine. Today evidence was taken from Miss Brooker and Mr Glen Prentice the President of the Queensland Jockey’s Association. Subsequently, Miss Brooker pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 139(1) (a), which reads: A rider breaches these Australian Rules if a banned substance under 136 (1) is detected in a sample taken from the rider. The specifics of the charge being that Jockey Brooker did provide a sample of urine at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club on 11 August 2019, which contained substances banned under 136 (1) namely Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Oxazepam, Nordiapazem, Temazepam, Ketamine, Norketamine and Dehydroketamine. In determining penalty, Stewards were mindful of Miss Brooker’s guilty plea, forthright evidence, her personal circumstances and penalty precedents. Stewards also considered that a penalty for this breach must serve as a specific deterrent to Miss Brooker and also a general deterrent to the wider industry to illustrate that using illicit drugs will not be tolerated. Miss Brooker was subsequently disqualified for a period of nine (9) months to commence immediately and to expire at midnight 19 June 2020. Stewards advised Miss Brooker that if she provides details of suitable rehabilitation and counselling that consideration will be given to varying the final three (3) months of her disqualification to a suspension of her licence to ride in races. Furthermore, Miss Brooker under the provisions of 139 (4) at the expiration of her disqualification must deliver a sample free of any banned substances prior to resuming riding. Miss Brooker was advised of her rights to an internal review. |

HAPPY TO CORRECT THIS IF RUMORS OF STABLE SPLIT ARE INCORRECT
IN the past two days LETSGOHORSERACING has received numerous calls and emails either predicting the dissolution of the newly-formed Chris Anderson/Robert Heathcote training partnership, or telling us that it has already happened. We find this hard to believe given that the Heathcote Anderson Racing website is still alive and well and pointing punters to the new firm’s upcoming runners over the next few days, and the fact that no-one has said a word suggesting that it may not be so. But sharp-eyed readers tell us that Heathcote and Anderson have been listed separately rather than together as trainers in recent weeks, and that Anderson Racing has been buying up at auction sales recently in its own name rather than that of the partnership, and on checking we have found that to be true. Perhaps the independent listings on the Racing Queensland website and in form guides are simply typos or haven't been updated, and that all is well in the stables of the newly joined at the hip combo. But readers are telling us of rumors that a rift between the pair may have developed in the wake of the Profit/Guntantes race at Eagle Farm last week. As we all know nothing get lost in the tell in racing in Queensland. To add insult to injury there is also scuttlebutt doing the rounds in Brisbane racing involving the rollover statements of a certain well-known football, running, pizza, earth moving, harness and thoroughbred racing identity turned canary. It's all just a mystery to everyone at the moment, and LGHR will attempt to get some clarification of the situation so that we can let punters know the lay of the land one way or the other. If it’s incorrect just let us know Robbie and we will be happy to silence the gossips and set the record straight. We just hope it's wrong because the team has been flying and is extremely popular with punters. READ MORE at www.letsgohorseracing.com.au |

The Profit/Guntantes race was very odd. Guntantes was $4.00 - $2.80 and ended up getting the gun run behind Profit, which no speedmap had leading, especially with 59.5 at Eagle Farm.

I will not say intergrity, but the competency of the Qld stewards was on full display in the Race 4 protest. You must wonder what more needs to happen before they uphold a protest.

Now we all love Tommy Berry, well don't we? most of us then, however, Tommy boy hasn't faced the music over the shocking fall here in QLD when Cory B came down and the horse suffered the worst fate a horse can.....what an absolute farce this is, what bloody integrity is there? why haven't the owners of the horse taken action themselves? if they don't care then what chance do we all have.
