You will be hard pressed to find any Republican that will go on the record and defend Trump on what he did because they will be also stating on the record that it is ok for the next Democratic President to do the same thing.

Congress and only Congress can approve aid, and it is illegal for a President to interfere in that process as the Govt watchdog ruled this week. Congress also investigates whether Ukraine has met it's set out benchmarks for corruption fighting, which it had met.

All anyone needs to know is that the Dems had nothing legal to offer, and it should not only be dismissed for bad process but an acquittal. The dems got the sound bites they needed for their campaign, but Trump didn't do/ say anything rash while they were doing it. In fact he made a great speech at the March for Life while they were blathering.

If Trump did nothing wrong, why not lift the blanket ban on people testifying and turn over the 75 requested document files... that will clear his name.

Why would anyone choose to have the permanent stain of impeached on their bio, when you could just comply as is required in the constitution?

Lev's lawyer Mr Bondy said today that Lev has plenty more tapes he and Igor recorded of Trump criming. The one released yesterday was an absolute bombshell.

Then he said to remember that it was Lev tasked to deliver the quid pro quo to President Poroschenko. I wonder if is hinting that he taped that as well?
