It is quite ironic that people who were so apparently Politically Incorrect, have the most class of all. Don Lane and Bert Newton.

Tom Gleeson, whilst correct in putting awards into perspective, by joking, he did ultimately mock his own industry.
It was mildly amusing, but also cringe worthy.

So to show you some true class, here is just 20 seconds of Don Lane's speech. Its all the time he needed to show true class.

Do you have to buy TV Week to vote in the Logies? Who does that? I've never met anyone who has bought a copy of TV Week, never seen one in a home, don't know if it still exists, and haven't seen one since since I sat in a dentist's waiting room in the early 80s.

You can say what you like about that era of Aussie TV - but they were there to "entertain" us - these days they are there to shove their Virtuous Causes and Social Justice down our throats, and they don't need any talent to do that.Ouch
