Sebring died this afternoon after suffering a heart attack. He was only 13.

On the track, he had 5 wins & a second from 6 starts including the 2008 Golden Slipper & AJC Sires Produce.

At stud, he sired more than 40 stakeswinners including Gp1 winners including Dissident, Criterion, Egg Tart & Amphitrite.

I've probably missed a Gp1 winning progeny. Lucky Bubbles won the 2017 Chairman's Sprint Prize in Hong Kong. I think that is now considered an international G1 although prior to 2016, it was just a local G1.

Lovely racehorse and a grand stallion. His passing puts a real hole in the stallion ranks.

Widden hasn't had the best of luck with Stratum, Northern Meteor and now Sebring all passing to young.  He was a lovely looking boy who has plenty of good ones still to come.  Hopefully one of his sons will take up the batton.
