Overnight in Sunshine, a western suburb of Melbourne, six youths, one sixteen, one fifteen and four fourteen were arrested for an armed robbery of a bottle shop. Apparently at first they tried to buy alcohol, but because of their obvious age were refused, then one jumped the counter and fled with a slab of beer, whilst one of the fourteen year old produced a machete and threatened the shop assistant before grabbing some of bottles of spirits before fleeing the scene. Not long later they were arrested by police, however three questions arise from this robbery.
A. How can the combined age of all six robbers be less than one hundred in this day and age ?Wink
B. Is it legal for any fourteen year old to drink alcohol ?Wink
C. Is it legal for a fourteen year old to own a machete ?Wink

Further to my prior post

A 14-year-old Wyndham Vale boy, 14-year-old Albanvale boy and a 15-year-old Sunshine West boy have been charged with armed robbery and will appear in a children’s court later today.

A 14-year-old Sunshine North boy has been charged with recklessly cause injury and bailed to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

A 14-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy has been charged with theft and bailed to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

A 16-year-old boy was charged for theft on unrelated matters and bailed to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

But apparently no charges for under aged drinkingWink
