Your post is not true, nothing unusual about that , it is usual, you don't let truth get in the way of your story ,I did not say he looked at himself in the camera,i said he looked at the screen to estimate if he had to put more preasure on his mount. |

Yes Hatch, that is the reason he looked at the camera, as hes not a showman jockey at all. And that arm salute in the air the second after he looked at the camera was just a nervous twitch eh...

Also, I swear you are the one always telling us to believe stewards and not the riders in the stand, yet here you are, openly disagreeing with the rules of racing and the stewards...

You change your story and are a clear cut liar and a hypocrite. You get caught out time and time again and people on this site, just laugh and laugh when you come on and post. You should be a Jester in a circus with you level of comedy. We should start a new thread, laugh along (or at) hatch and catch him out with the hypocritical stories. Walker, himself, admitted that he made a mistake. Lucky he still won else he would be on a 3 month holiday. You could have carried his suitcases. Although you would have to have two seats in the plane because you are such a big fat lying hypercritical sloth. |

You should be well aware it is normal and wise to look at the screen to see if you have a good enough lead to not unduly punish your mount if it is not needed . The second horse probably finished much quicker than he thought it would. |

The main problem with looking at the screen is that some jockeys do not realise that the TV coverage is normally a second or so behind real time and while the screen might show they are comfortably clear the other horses may in fact have closed the margin considerably.

Very good point if that is correct and you are probably right , Luke Nolan in England on Black Cavier very nearly made a terrible mistake , but was lucky enough to scramble in, but good on the stewards for taking no action against him, he won. I think he didn't ride her to the line because he thought she was not quite right and didn't want to knock her around , nearly copped the anger of millions for being kind to his mount. |

One time jockeys used to look behind them to see how far they were in front , now looking at the screen much better I think, I don't think trainers would be objecting to jockeys looking at the screen or stewards ,I have never heard of a jockey being reprimanded for looking at the screen ,have you Subby, if so where?

Walker returned with his legs out of the irons, dismounted, mumbled incoherently and limped away with with a major hip problem, contrary to what we perceived to be a failure to ride a horse out.
It was amazing to think that if a jock was in so much pain that he could have celebrated his victory via a big screen,100m out. Sensibility returned later on. Perhaps he knew he had another winner that day and plenty of good rides on Saturday. If he stayed on his "hip" theory, he might have found himself stood down for a considerable period. The penny dropped on that. |

Who wants a broken down jock to ride their horses?
He eventually made the right call.

He will be remembered for this part of the performance, he can come across as being very sensible and sometimes not so. |

What ? Getting a new hip ? If you had ever had a bad hip, and got a new one, you would change your mind .
I have one, and will soon be getting a second one.

Michael involved in a nasty incident at Geelong. Fell off his horse on the way back to scale and landed on his back. Was complaining of some pain so has been placed onto a stretcher.

I would have thought every time you pulled a fish out of the water, cut its throat and bleed it alive it could be classed as animal cruelty.
