Have found Ric to be a very genuine person, a fierce supporter of country racing and battlers in particular, and extremely popular with regional racegoers and officialdom.

Ok he stuffed up badly but fwiw thought his apology was to the point and well meant rather than particularly "groveling".  He'll be seriously censured by his employers, will certainly have learnt a lesson,  and will have no excuse for ever repeating that type of error.

Just imo.

I have always found Rick McIntosh to be a complete, rehearsed bore. When he is calling, i usually switch the races off. 

Tryhard who tries way too hard. One of the many painful Racing.com employees who make watching the station very hard. Even for racing lovers.

McIntosh is the worst caller in Australia - cannot stand his stupid calls with forced humour. And he's ignorant. The other day called a horse Algiers "al-gears" when it should be "al-jeers" as in the capital of Algeria.
