11 I wouldn't call this summer normal. Way to humid. That's not the way Sydney normally during summer. Even my fruit trees didn't like the weather. One not getting any fruit. The rest dropping fruit right left and centre. Something they have never done before. The oldest is least effected but it has dropped a bit of fruit. All the trees are well over 10 years the orange is 35 years old so it will be interesting to see what the fruit is like.

So we agree wunwun, we should change our behavior to help keep our planet viable? Maybe transition to energy sources that are toxic for the environment, also sources that are renewable so we don't have to keep digging up our planet or worry about the resources running out?

You mean instead of running around in circles trying to blame someone / something for it
Next time I might glue myself to the road or throw something at a priceless painting Tip - we have to fit into our planet - not the other way around That's one of the reasons it took us 4.5 billion years top actually show up |

Eveyrtime there is a heatwave, do you share that zinger on Facebook about that time in the 1890s when it got hot and everyone had to go hide in pubs or on the beach?

climate change is a threat to our way of life. It is not a frivolous issue.
Your attitude is unfortunately mirrored by successive governments and people who will probably be well gone before the worst effects of climate change hit us. |

Just a normal summer - that's all Afros
Don't get too upset over it. I think they had a few issues in Peru that you can lay your hat on

So another summer has has come & gone. Just reflecting oh how its gone. Remember all those doom & gloom predictions coming into the period......hottest summer ever, bushfires everywhere, floods , storms, blah, blah.
So how did your area of Australia rate / perform ? In Sydney it was all pretty uneventful - bit of hot weather hear & there - few fires around - occasional storm of two & not too many floods to warrant comment. That's about it in nutshell All in all I'd say say its been pretty good. I know that's hard for the alarmists & media to cop - they would have just loved chaotic conditions, deaths, hardships etc - but better luck next summer maybe Next - now for winter

Cmon, no one is seriously talking nuclear energy.
That’s purely a smokescreen to continue opening new coal mines. The coalition is no longer a serious alternative government.

Hmmm Unfortunately, this excludes the proposed site that Alinta Energy had earmarked to supply their Aluminium Smelter. But, thankfully, Alinta have announced this will not deter them from supplying the smelter with 100% renewables going forward….. This is the future big fella, get used to it.

Gee this little announcement was timely - considering the comments above (PT / Rusty)
Casanova Bowen has just done a huge backflip on his offshore wind turbine policy. The zone down the east coast for the ugly / noisy monstrosities has been reduced by nearly 80% - that's right - to about one fifth. After telling everyone for yonks' they represent no environmental concerns he now accepts they do He actually said when challenged last year that Whales were smart enough to stay away from the darn things - maybe not hey Bloke cant take a trick
